Mercedes-Benz is hopping onto the OEM vehicle customization bandwagon by launching the new MercedesSport line of accessories at next week’s 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Similar to the BMW Individual and much more exclusive Ferrari One-to-One programs, MercedesSport will allow customers to pick and match their own personal accessories instead of opting for the more general options packages.
The range will include items such as specially designed light-alloy wheels, sports suspension kits and mounted aerodynamic and styling components. These latter items will consist of new bumpers, spoilers and sporty side skirts. For true performance buffs there will also be a sports braking system with perforated discs and specially developed brake calipers.
Inside, MercedesSport customers will be able to change things like the steering wheel, add shift-paddles on models that don’t already have them and install items like metal pedals and door sills.
MercedesSport will initially be available for the entire E-Class family (Sedan, Estate, Coupe and Cabriolet), with other model series to follow. The range will be available from authorized Mercedes-Benz sales and service outlets, and can also be professionally installed there.

LOL!! MB is following BMW yet again it appears. This is directly aimed at BMW Performance.

So sad :D

Also, MercedesSport is a terrible name! They should have went for BenzLuxury instead of MercedesSport.
