Hi, I am from Singapore where the prices of cars is the very high compare to most of the other countries. My Dad bought a W211 E200Kompressor at S$190,000. And it is the base model for E-Class. That is why the base model is always the best selling model in my country. Taking the conversion rate at 1.65 to US$, the price of my Dad car is around US$115,151. Sometime I feel that we are paying too much for it

Good lord that is a lot of models, you're right. I think Mercedes would do better by offering fewer models and concentrating on making them better - looking at that list. Seems to be one to many E/A Class models.

In the U.S. market that is the price of the W220 S65, not the W221. We just got the W220 S66 like in May of 2005. The W220 S65 and S350 were very late entries to the U.S. market.

Its insane. Thats a lot of models and engines. Sometimes it makes you wonder why MB dont sell more than they do.

If you add smart its 144 or something..
And bare in mind that the S class engine programme is faaar from complete yet..

Add in the fact that the A-class is available in both 3-door and 5-door form and that the C and E-class wagons are not listed individually... I guess that would bring it up to 134. (Not to mention that MB Finland lists 21 different passenger versions of the Vito/Viano ).

For comparison, using similar distinction, BMW Finland lists 91 models...

Asking prices for foreign cars in China are even crazy..My family's almost full loaded x5 4.8i cost us around 1,150,000 yuan up to 118,000 Euro or so.

Yeah,its a crazy world we are livi.n. Here in Sweden,they right now Dumping the Prizes on Mb,Audi and Bmw,s. The larger engine the lower price. Of course i mean on 4-7 year old Cars!! Think they will double or triple the Pollution Taxes on those cars in a year or?? The gasprice is deadly high here to. 2,25 Dollar for One third of a Gallon!!!! 2 fresh prices from yesterday. Mb ML63Amg -07 120 000km==40 000Dollar. Exakt the same price for MB E63Amg -07 == 87000Km. But me myself prefer a god old SUPERRARE MB E55AMG Touring 4-Matic -01. Proud owner of one superpiece!!! Fantastic Car. This spring its going to be one of the best in the world. If i say,little of a Collektors choice. No disapointments. And its gorgeous to drive!! 354hp and 530 Torque with 4wd is not catshit!? Remember its 2001!!!!! I lift my hat for to night and say--Sleep tight MB lovers.......WHere ever you are!!!
