SLR Mercedes SLR McLaren by Project Kahn

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (C199 / R199 / Z199) is a grand tourer jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive and sold from 2003 to 2010. When the car was developed, Mercedes-Benz owned 40 percent of the McLaren Group and the car was produced in conjunction between the two companies. The "SLR" name is an abbreviation for "Sport Leicht Rennsport" (Sport Light Racing), and was a homage to the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR which served as the car's inspiration. The car was offered in coupé, roadster and speedster bodystyles, with the latter being a limited edition model.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is as standard an extraordinary vehicle, however Project Kahn believes there is room for improvement. SLR by Project Kahn includes a sports exhaust system, lowered sports suspension, the soon to be released Kahn SLR body styling package, Kahn RS-X alloy wheels and a 60Bhp engine upgrade all built on a very impressive standard SLR specification.
Project Kahn also gives the option of custom paintwork and custom leather interior, giving the car even more individuality and with the 9” x 20” front and 10.5” x 21” rear RS-X alloy wheels perfection will truly be achieved.

The Mercedes-McLaren SLR is one of the few exotics rarely touched by aftermarket tuners but that hasn’t stopped the U.K.’s project Kahn from releasing a new performance upgrade for it. Not wanting to alter the dramatic styling of the SLR significantly, developers have kept exterior mods to a minimum with only a mild styling kit and Kahn RS-X alloy wheels making the cut – 21in up back and 20in in the front.
Under the hood lies a 677hp (505kW) version of the supercharged 5.4L V8 engine, up 60hp (45kW) from the standard car’s 617hp (460kW). Other modifications include a lowered sports suspension kit and high-flow sports exhaust.
Any tuner worth its salt must have a list of options for nearly every aspect of a car and Project Kahn doesn’t fail to deliver. On top of its basic package, customers can also opt for unique leather upholstery as well as a custom paint job.

No body upgrades and very subtle wheel design.

When the SLR came out I thought MB was going to stick with the orignal
nose cone it had and some of the other ideas that were orignal.

When this production model came forth thay ironed out a lot of the what the concept had design wise.

I guess a license plate wouldn`t fit if that nose cone was left intact like the concept.
