The S320 CDI really widens the appeal of the S-Class range for "conscious buyers". Good fuel economy and performance and all the features you could want in an S-Class (comfort, safety etc.). :usa7uh:
 
I would go for the gasoline one. Apart from the fact that you can't drive a diesel in the two biggest cities of Greece, i don't like the feel of those diesel. When driving with low RPM i don't want that power punch. I want a relax drive. When i need power i drive in high RPM. That's me...

About fuel consumption... Sure the diesel is very economical but it's up to the driver as for how much economical will the car end to be. You can drive a diesel like crazy or going like a turtle with a gasoline one. Personally i have quite low consumption in my car, because mostly i cruise at about 100km/h and on average the consumption is very low.. But then again you can take your S downtown...

:D I love diesels, because you don't need such high RPMs to be fast...that's also reduce the fuel consumption. A diesel would never need more then 14 litres of fuel, while a car with gasoline and a lot of horsepower needs more then that... :bowdown: ...it's just the operating range of a diesel... :eusa_pray

OMG...:eek2:...That's insane... 250+ km/h and a RPM of only 3500??? I does 252 km/h with our E 280 CDI (okay it's "only" a 280 CDI and it has a 6 speed manual transmission) and the RPM was at 4200... :t-banghea

I've never thought, that there could be such differences.

All you need to do is tap the gas pedal lightly. It's not like the car will accelerate like crazy if you press the accelerator lightly. You can drive a diesel car completely normally and not feel a thing.

Actually i have never driven a diesel passenger car. There is a law here that doesn't allow diesels in the two major greek cities (Athens and Thessaloniki) so bassically noone imports them here. You just have to have a custom order if you want to buy a diesel..

Well, one day you will experience a diesel and you will be like this: "Holy sh*t! I ain't touching a gasoline car never again!" :D
