Wow coolraoul, great catch! Yep the same treatment as the upcoming E-Class. Mercedes, Mercedes, Mercedes you old sly dog. We're already seeing future styling cues and didn't know it until now!

I wonder if the E will get some of this concept's dramatic grille too. Now I'm starting to get excited about a new E. Still hate to see the W211 go though.

I'm loving the styling cues this car is presenting!!! As a whole it may not be so pretty...but isolated theres some very beautiful design.

And that interior is fantastically forward thinking. Why can't car makers be more adventurous with the materials on production models.

I was just thinking, all of this and we haven't seen anything on the CLS, SLK and SL facelifts. Also coming is the SL Black Series/SLC and whatever that wicked looking thing with the fake Viper body panels MB recently tested. Then there is the GLK.

I was just thinking, all of this and we haven't seen anything on the CLS, SLK and SL facelifts. Also coming is the SL Black Series/SLC and whatever that wicked looking thing with the fake Viper body panels MB recently tested. Then there is the GLK.

Well there is L.A., Tokyo, Detroit, Chicago and then Geneva. The SL is the one that has everyone all nervous. The SL and the new V6 engines are most important.

Hard to say, I think it depends on what they plan on showing. Generally Mercedes pulls out all the stops for Geneva. Geneva will likely be the choice for the FL SL and the new V6 engines. L.A. for the CLS or SLK and Detroit for the GLK. The SL Black/Signature Series/SLC could be Detroit also.

I'm still shocked that none of these turned up at the IAA.

When you say new V6 engines do you mean the direct injection versions of the existing range or a new range? To the best of my knowledge the new range of V6 engines is years away.

The lights will surely be the same on the E-Class, so why not the big grill? Would be awesome...

I won't call this car beautiful or gorgeous, but I won't call this car ugly either. The only thought that goes into my head is: Interesting. This car is interesting and I want to see how the styling cues from this car make their way into the production cars.

You know some of this stuff will. ABC, Distronic Plus and other seemingly far fetched tech was introduced on F cars in the past and now they're standard fare in various Benzes today. Don't you just love Mercedes for this!
