So ppl here is the news.. MB has been very silent about this.. enjoy boys:D

Mercedes took a very interesting step and presented their brand new CL-class in international Moscow Motor Show, that opened it‘s doors today on the 30th of August. The funny thing is that this big coupe from MB has been shown to Russian buyers earlier in flesh much earlier than to Europeans or Americans. If you did not knew we remind you, that Europeans will be able to see it officially with their own eyes only in the end of next month. This should happen in upcoming Paris Motor Show.

This new CL-class Mercedes coupe is built on the same basis that is being used in the current luxury S-Class cars. New big German coupe will be equipped with either V8 or V12 powerplant for those who are hungering for the raw power of quite huge displacement, comparing to other every day commuters cars in Germany.

CL 500 version will receive a V8 5.5 liter naturally aspired engine that is able to spin out 388 hp. Most powerful version CL600 should and will be equipped with a V12 engine that simply screams „when a lot of displacement is not enough“. For this reason is fitted with two turbochargers. This kind of installment lets this big Mercedes coupe to output 517 hp and break necks with maximum torque of 830 Nm. With this kind of power characteristics it can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h (0-60mph) in 4.6 seconds and if not stopped then it can be caught going somewhere near the limit of 250km/h (about 155mph). You will ask us, why this car has this quite low top speed and the right answer will be – electronic speed limiting to 250km/h (about 155mph) that became some sort of tradition for most the German carmakers for cheaply increasing passive safety by not leting drivers to go beyond handling capabilities of their cars. Not as impressive as the Mercedes versions that are modified by tuning studio Brabus, but we should wait and see what official tuning studio of MB will prepare for us from this delicious ingredient – new generation CL-Class. Maybe we can expect something new cooked from it in the upcoming Paris Motor Show or maybe sometime later.

Soon... it should be showcased at the Paris show.

Those lucky Muscovites :) ....but then again, Russia has been a very lucrative market for Mercedes since the fall of the U.S.S.R..

Looks great! One thing though is that the picture looks squashed or something because the wheel wells seem to big for those tires... Didnt anyone else notice that?

I think that is more likely to be the hydraulic suspension set to its greatest ground-clearance setting.

You know i bet your right. I thought it looked a little high or something.....Thanks for clearing that up.

Simply stunning, and that GL500 isn't bad either!

Even the GL in the photo in the backgroud of one of the CL shots is raised. Must be a Russian thing.

I checked the MBUSA site and it says the car will be here on our shores in November.:usa7uh:

The cl looks awesome in black, all it needs is the AMG kit, and it would look even better!

Nice looking wheels for the stock version.
