They’re firing on all cylinders.Mercedes has never introduced this many cars in such a short period of time. They’re really casting a broad net.

Over 8000rpm in a modern sedan? My heart skipped a little, im getting butterfliesUnfortunately only as a Flatplane, but it’s still a V8 and it should rev very high ( hopefully over 8000rpm).
With my eye i see:Mercedes will introduce seven new models in the next three months. The G Cabriolet will be introduced next year.

SUV coupe is the car they’ll bring, and as the other 2 it’s a car which will be as successful as the R63 and the C63SE.I remember talks about the third AMG EV being a new SLS or a sports car. If it finally is a SUV Coupe… Well, meh!
Did you happen by any information about how high it revs?Unfortunately only as a Flatplane, but it’s still a V8 and it should rev very high ( hopefully over 8000rpm).

While recently speaking with Auto Express, head of vehicle development at AMG, Steffen Jastrow, said his team is working to improve the responsiveness of its next-generation V8. The most significant change will be the implementation of a flat-plane crankshaft.
This will allow the next-gen AMG V8 to rev higher than the current unit and should also make it more thrilling
The M177 LS2 was more for faster revving than higher revving. But yes. People didn't like the sound. What I also heard, is that people complained on the GT BS because of the low rev limiter, they expected the Flatplane to rev much higher than 7000 rpm.
Design and Sound didn’t match tbh on the BS.The M177 LS2 was more for faster revving than higher revving. But yes. People didn't like the sound.
Apparently the new GLC53 has a new resonator for the exhaust so maybe they'll do the same for the V8s to give a more emotional sound.

"G" is now a brand?
Like a parent not telling 5 year old child that there are crisps in the cupboard for eating as snacks tomorrow. They’re also going to deny the V8 C63 until the day it drops.
The reliability issues and lower customer satisfaction ratings I think also should be addressed by Mercedes Benz, they have far too many recalls and also they are low ranked on the reliability and customer satisfactions indexes. Quality and workmanship need to be upped to good levels like in the days of the W124/126 etc.I would disagree with desperation, I would definitely say it's a knee-jerk reaction to correct some of the biggest mistakes the company has made in years. The 4-cylinder AMG everything and the EQ cars are arguably bigger failures than the bespoke 2004 Maybach 57 and 62 since they managed to pivot and turn Maybach into a successful brand, if no longer bespoke. When you see number of M3 and M4 models on the road they literally had no choice but to bring the I6 and V8 back to to a broad selection of cars. The question about aspiring to Mercedes-Benz is a good one and I think in the case of certain models the answer because they're still highly desirable cars.
That said, the possibilities are endless on what they can do with this renewed focus, after being dragged and stung hard.
