There seems to be some renewed hope that the C63 might get the new V8. That would be the right thing to do.

M
As far as I know, the C53 will be getting the 6-cylinder while CLE gets the V8. New GLC 53’s are also ditching the 2.0L and getting the new 6-cylinder.
And allegedly, there’s also a new E63 with that same V8, coming in 12 months.

According to RBR there will also be a Coupe version of the electric AMG SUV. Sigh.

I like some of the Coupe SUV’s actually, but only from a design perspective. Other than that they’re totally pointless.

I had the OG X6 , and honestly , I loved it. Handled way better than the X5.

And drove it for 3 years and over 120.000km

Yea , the trunk was less, but not a huge problem .

But it was so damn cool looking ( IMO ) . Back in the day (2007 I think), what we had? Q7, ML..Meh at most.

It was produced between 2008-2014. I also do like the design of the first gen X6, it was definitely revolutionary in car design.

Yes. Time flies...

BTW : After the X6 , I got the E Cabio C207 , and I remember how trash that car was in comparison. I mean , the gearbox , that 7G Tronic , was the worst gearbox I have ever had , in any car, in my life.

After , Dr. Z started the MB "revolution"

The new Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 4matic+ will soon be available to order.

The 4-cylinder AMG models are being phased out, and the 6-cylinder with 449 hp will soon arrive as the GLC 53 AMG.

The 4-cylinder engines based on the M139 are too loud to comply with the new EU regulations.

Therefore, production of the GLC 43 AMG 4MATIC SUV and Coupé models will cease in the third week of February 2026. The GLC 63 S E Performance 4MATIC+ will be discontinued somewhat later, in the third week of May 2026.

According to spy photos from Lapland, the new GLC 53 AMG 4MATIC+ was seen in a facelifted guise with new headlights featuring the Mercedes pattern daytime running light design. However, the facelift for the GLC itself will not arrive until 2027.

The new GLC 53 4MATIC+ AMG with a refined 6-cylinder engine:

The M256 Evo delivers 449 hp + 23 hp ISG (48-volt mild-hybrid support). Torque increases to 600 Nm. In short-term overboost mode, even 640 Nm is possible.

The M256 Evo features optimized intake and exhaust ports and a revised intake camshaft. It also includes a more powerful 48-volt electric auxiliary compressor. If boost pressure isn't yet available at low engine speeds, the electrically driven compressor assists to prevent turbo lag, before the exhaust-driven turbocharger takes over at higher engine speeds to generate the boost pressure.

The M256 Evo is a further development of the familiar 3.0-liter inline-six gasoline engine. It will meet the EU7 emissions standard.
