Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
This ‘Mythos’ they posted earlier today might be the ‘Black Series’ we are talking about, since HWA & Mercedes no longer work together. So this one will be in-house😉
Thanks for the info mate. I feel like the Mythos could be something completely different than Black Series, though I’m just speculating.

It would be a shame to stop using "Black Series," as it's a name that has earned great prestige, and Mithos is just a marketing ploy (so far).

Although, come to think of it, there hasn't been a Black Series for a few years now...

Wasn’t Mythos for super exclusive bespoke models?

  • Second model of the exclusive Mercedes‑Benz Mythos series enters testing
  • Cold-weather tests in Sweden highlight the extreme character of the yet-to-be-unveiled AMG model
  • Based on the popular CLE series and ready to take centre stage
Even under full camouflage and in the dim light of a Scandinavian winter, one thing is immediately clear: an exceptionally extreme Mercedes‑AMG is charging through the snow. The performance and sports car brand is currently putting a still‑unannounced new model through intensive testing near the Arctic Circle, where it already stands out with a strikingly uncompromising presence.

The frozen landscapes of Sweden provide the perfect backdrop for the demanding cold-weather tests. Here the vehicle is put through its paces under extreme conditions. This phase is crucial to validate the performance and reliability of all components, even at the lowest temperatures.

While bearing a clear resemblance to the popular CLE, the extreme new model takes the concept several steps further, promising an even more uncompromising appearance and positioning itself as a genuine statement on the road – backed by a correspondingly powerful drivetrain and performance to match.

It will be the second model in the highly exclusive Mercedes‑Benz Mythos series, which stands for a range of exclusive, limited-edition collector vehicles. After the Mercedes‑AMG PureSpeed – a radical, open two-seater without a roof or windshield – thrilled as the first model, the eagerly awaited second model is now emerging on the horizon.

It is starting to look like the upcoming GT Track Sport might be a Mythos series, to justify what will almost certainly be a ridiculously high price (SLR and above). I bet even this CLE-based model will blow past current GT price levels.

Damn you recon this will be a $250k CLE? & the GT Tracksport maybe around $300k+ mark?💔

I don’t think the EQG was intended for the enthusiasts anyways. More for the rich L.A moms who are environmentally conscious, that cannot live without going to pilates and drinking Erewhon matcha smoothies. At least that’s the scenario that forms inside my head. 🤣

With the looming ban on ICE's, the EQG was an inevitable step forward. It was planned during the first EV sales boom, but the market changed drastically during its development and perhaps it lacked basic features like towing capacity and range because they rushed the process. This is something Mercedes didn't do before; they used to take the time to perfect their cars and make them the best you could find.
