Sorry I had to do it.

And a fitting high quality interior instead of the cheapest they could find.

You are aware that that thing on the hood is completely functionless and is simply glued to it without any working ventilation for those scoops. AKA, having that fitted will factually make you slower and less aerodynamic.

Utterly retarded, and that's apart from looking fugly.
I knew it was coming !!! 🤣

Did any of you guys experience EQE personally? We are looking forward to get one for my friend, and since the second-hand prices are super low, it’s looking to be a great deal.
It would be great to get some user information other than online reviews.
And side note, he doesn’t care about the way it looks! 🤣

If they don’t care about then the EQE/EQS are perfect, they are great cars🤣

Yes that particular test car seemed to look better than the other mules. The proportions look great in that video.
Which makes you wonder what the hell we were looking at before? Tho I still think that the grille will be disproportionate to the size of the body.

Yes the grill is going to look oversized for sure. After the BMW oversized grill (ie i4 and M4/M3) Mercedes will also join the party. I think this grill will definitely add alot more character to the front of the saloons and bring an upmarket presence to the C-class that we havent seen since the 1st and 2nd gen models, when they only had the classic grills.

I had the SUV as a loaner, a really lovely car.

Drives extremely smooth. This car loves terrible roads, I haven’t driven a Citroen with a Hydropneumatic yet, but I guess the EQE SUV rides even better than this on Airmatic.

The few people I have talked to LOVE their EQ vehicles. Not sure if that brand loyalty will be kept when it comes time to replace them and all the weird EQ cars are gone.

M

I agree, they’re mostly soulless.

What’s lovely about the EQE SUV is the way it drives, that’s all. It drives how a Mercedes Benz should, there’s no noise or vibrations, and the suspension is smooth.

I can give you one example, from fall 24 to fall 25 I had 3 daily driver SUVs (Range Rover PHEV,Audi e-tron and my G) next to each other in my garage.

For short distances I took 9 out of 10 the G, for long distances I took 9 out of 10 the Range Rover.

I drove the Audi only to prohibit standing damage, after I got my G.

The reasons are mostly the lack of emotions and the stupid E door handles.

On Long distances I preferred the comfort of my Range Rover over the G and the Audi.

Before I got my G, I used the Range Rover 7 out of 10 (long distances) and 6 out of 10 for short distances.

Which shows that I still drove the Audi very often until I’ve got the G.

My conclusion is simple, If there’s a cheap offer on an EV I might still add it, but I guess it’ll still sit in my garage most of the time. Or If there’d be some tax subsidies, which might make EVs more attractive.
Or If I need a green and progressive image.

Currently there’s no difference in yearly taxation and insurance between a ICE or EV car.

My concern as well. Although I suspect that "pulling" the entire grill/shield downwards into the front apron could alleviate that "oversized" image a bit. This would also allow a more forward descending, sleeker hoodline.

In any case...even under the camouflage, I'm already liking the C-Class EQ sedan a whole lot more than the MMA CLA.

Does the G do anything worse on long journeys like wind noise or tyre roar?

Tyre roar is not an issue at all, but there’s very little wind noise at 80mph which you can barely hear, because the engine rumbles all the time, and the suspension is a bit harsh in comparison.

It’s not unbearable, but it can be a little bit tiresome on longer journeys.

That’s why people, who drive longer distances with the G, prefer the non AMG version ( in Europe usually the Diesel), they’re much comfier and the Diesel is very quiet as long as you don’t floor it.

You can’t hear the Diesel engine If you’re gliding along at around 1400-1500rpm.

There’s one interesting difference compared to other Mercedes Benz cars, If the road becomes terrible in the GLS or GLC there’s not a big difference If you drive over the bumps at 30mph or 50mph.

However in the G it’s different, driving 30mph instead of 50mph makes a very big difference.
I guess it’s because of the live axle in the back.
