Do you honestly think Mercedes is using cardboard to deaden sound in their cars?

M
It's BS there is no cardboard in the headliners of any Mercedes models. They use a stamped plastic liner with foam backing and fabric or alcantara covering.

Here is a C class headliner removed.

It really is a climb. I experienced a G when we were in the showroom for our car and I felt so f*cking small next to it, and I’m like 178 cm tall. 🤣
(y) Me too. My height is comparable, therefore I always use the Steeringwheel to pull my body into the car.

Another problem are the too slim steps, they’re ridiculous.

The car is BTW almost 2m high.

Have you ever stood next to a 6x6 G-class? That car is incredibly high, I think about 2.2 to 2.3m. I felt like a dwarf standing next to one. It must be an awesome experience driving one around and people will just stare.

Exactly! Such a big car. I wish I had one, lol.
LOL. Sitting way up high can give you a satisfying, "exhalted" feeling.

During by student years (back in The Stone Age), I occasionally earned a bit of "beer and party" money by helping out on furniture/household moving jobs. My driver's licence permitted me to operate trucks up to 7,5 tonnes in weight. So, I sometimes was "appointed" the driver of 7,5T box-on-frame rentals. I really enjoyed that !

No, but I sat in a G63 4x4/2 which is the same height. The view from the drivers seat is awesome.

This car really needs the GLS Maybach style steps.

This would be my spec. Insanityyy.
