What's the problem. Its probably used in conjunction with other materials. What were you expecting? Sound insulation to be made of Gold, Frankincense and Myrhh?

I don’t trust those kinds of videos. People can say and show all sorts of nonsense. The fact is that car manufacturers do not use cardboard as a sound-deadening material for the roof. They use specialized mats, foams, and composite materials engineered specifically for acoustics and insulation. Cardboard-like pieces might turn up in older cars as part of a rigid headliner, but they are not an effective sound-absorbing material,

The handing of the EQ cars failure in the USA has been interesting to say the least. They cut the prices by many thousands of dollars, changed the model designations, and cut production of US models in one swoop.

The EQE 500 SUV is gone and the EQE 350 became the EQE 320 with a big price drop, more standard equipment and no drop in range or power.

The EQS 450 became the EQS 400 with a big price drop but no change in range, power etc.

There is no model called EQE 250+. 280 models were produced for Türkiye.

Really? I remember there was something with + attached to it. It used to be on the configurator.

Done this in the past with Klier. Look's like you have some special beef with me.

Cardboard in a car , by any meaning , is stupid . Cardboard absorbs humidity . Sooner , or later .

This is just cost cutting. Yes , I expect better sound proofing from a "luxury car" .

And there are so many other ways to sound proof your car , with better future proof materials

Please watch the video . That is exactly what it's done : replacing the cardboard with proper sound dampening materials.

So again , please , just ignore me . I don't want your petty cheap beef with absolutely anything I write

EQE’s are really cheap now on the second market. I would say it’s a great deal for people that don’t care about styling. Offers great range and luxury for that price.
This is the case for Turkiye of course, I don’t know about the other markets.

The Devil's in the details.
Its a ladder frame chassis, not a unibody, and I would assume they've kept the chunky, clunky doors and all of that.
Looks like it'll be a cute lil' guy to me.
