MB design has been all over the place. Bet many of the designers were not born yet when this car debuted. Roll a W124 onto the design floor and tell the designers, "give me something as timeless as this. Copy it if you have too."

This is the mark of a good design. The drag coefficient (Cd) is 0.28, and that's without an enclosed bottom. This car could be released today and still feel contemporary. The only downside would be adding the obligatory touchscreen tablet to the interior.

The beauty about a W124 especially in black is it looks fantastic with either a classy and luxurious chrome grill or with a mean and monstrous black grill.
