Mercedes-Benz Sculpture for NAIAS 2010


The lines look great ... The sculpture itself looks cheap, it would have been nice if it was made out of metal instead of plastic. The light reflections in the car show photos kill it for me.

That this is the CLS, I think it is pretty clear by now. A couple of details, like the exagerated wheel arches and the triangular hood bulge make me think that it is a hint of the AMG edition, which apparently may have a steroidized appearance upgrade, ala Black-Series...
 
The sculpture is pretty interesting in person. I've now seen it first hand and can say too that we're looking at least the general shape of the next CLS. Even one of the sales people stated that. Of course it won't that radical looking, but close.

I don't think it's made out of plastic, but clay, covered in silver paint.
