Kind of getting "Just walked into Best Buy in 2005" vibes from the S class facelift screens & blue lit plastic

Lazy effort from Mercedes, E mixed with EQS interior but in a bad way, some extra weird wood on the front doors but missing in the rear. The E dashboard air vents are much nicer integrated and the GLC electric has a true hyper screen. Cheap parts bin from Mercedes, Ola and Wagener should leave together.

The really crushing part is that most facelifts don’t get this much change. It’s how they went about it, i e the execution that’s the problem. Now that stings.

Indeed! I'm sure they will put the GLC hyperscreen in the next model but this EQS inspired interior looks cheaper than E's interior and even prefacelift looked more luxurious better integrated.

So I think they made the new dashboard only for passenger screen which wasn't possible before.

I was going through the German configurator and with a 350d 4Matic there are not much a choice of Manufaktur colours or interior leather colours.

Nevertheless I think the new FL S-class does look fantastic with Kalahari Gold exterior in AMG trim with 20inch multispoke wheels. The interior in Nappa Machioto Beige with Amber Brown Open Pour wood looks classy.

Kalahari gold is indeed a surprisingly brave color, it clearly catches your eyes.

Macchiato beige reminds me on the beige interiors of the W220, they were also very bright.
It’s one of my favorites.

It’s BTW the only color which allows you to have bright headliner on the G.

I actually really like the dashboard architecture and the center console.
I just wish they didn't have that slab of glass covering what would probably be a big ol' slab of wood.

For all our grumbling, I do think the people in the market for this kind of car, will probably like the level of customisability it offers.

The exterior paints they have on offer are wonderful. As are the Manufaktur leather options.

This is exactly my idea of an S-Class. Very classic and refined. It could be even better if they did without the AMG gimmicks.

Another more sinister spec of pagatonia red with black 20inch wheels and night package.

Interior in black nappa leather with silver metal blend trim.

Daring spec indeed. I don’t think it goes well for an S-Class though, at least for me. I always find these type of bright colors to be a better fit for smaller sedans, perhaps a C-Class.

On the contrary, I find that colors like this on such large sedans achieve a very special effect, since most of them are very subdued colors.
