I think the S500 is powerful enough.

I'm a big fan of six-cylinder engines. Especially the inline versions, they're wonderfully smooth.

But 240,000 Swiss francs for the blue 580... are you serious, Mercedes? You probably add an extra surcharge for us Swiss. We can afford it, after all. And we're stupid enough to pay more. Even though the euro-Swiss franc exchange rate suggests otherwise.

I agree. I had the same thoughts.

The Problem is our Fresh-Air CO2 Tax, which makes the V8 crazy expensive, although not as crazy as in the Netherlands.

These are gonna absolutely slap on the Maybachs.

The best news is that you don’t need the overpriced maybach trim to get them.

This is the vegan choice of autogefühl.

Stoff with vinyl.

Expensive car, with a cheap looking interior.

How can you tell that it’s cheap?

Vegan leather is actually very good. Go experience it in the X7. It’s soft, supple and looks like nappa. Not pleather like a $5 wallet.

You wouldn’t know it’s not real leather unless someone told you. It’s nothing like the cheap sensatec dashboard leather bmw used to use. I expect the leather in the S to be just as nice.

I wrote cheap looking, on the pictures it looks really cheap IMHO.

I saw and felt the veganza of the current X3, I wasn’t very keen on that TBH.

I guess the X7 has a higher quality vegan leather.

Do you guys feel like this W223 FL is still gonna be a Benchmark for this segment though? Im quite afraid it might fall short compared to the G70 LCI.

Who knows what will be in that thing a few months from now on?

I read a comparison of the Mercedes E450 and the Audi A6 V6 at the hairdresser's this week. The Mercedes came out on top.

I expect Mercedes will set a benchmark again with the 223 MOPF. But let's see what the tests reveal.

I predict it will be the best driving S-Class ever and the AMGs even more so, but the facelift isn't what I was expecting in two critical areas, the interior and the lack of wood, specifically getting rid of those black plastic panels on the doors and the secondly, that black grille surround. It simply does not work here because of the thickness, especially vs the E-Class. I'm okay with the E-Class screen setup, it's the details around it that make it less successful - for me.

If it weren't for the terrible cockpit, we'd be praising the car right now. It would have been enough if they'd just fixed the flaws in the current cockpit. They've even protected those flaws, as if they're mocking us.
