What a relief. Less piano black. Replaced with inlays for the chosen trim in this case it's wood surrounding the window switches on the doors. For the S63 this will likely be carbon fibre:

The interior sucks IMHO.

That oldschool 3 screen hyperscreen from the EQS, and the double doorpanels, like what the hell is that black control panel glued onto another layer or decorative piece. Wth.

Exterior top notch though.

I'm having trouble distinguishing the cockpit from the E-Class; it's ridiculous. This isn't the S-Class.

It's a huge step backward in terms of interior design, but it doesn't matter because Mercedes fanboys will like it anyway, and then they'll come and talk about BMW's cost-cutting in lower segments.

Yes, they've used the hyperscreen we saw in the E Class and EQS. It's a big mistake to use a part they've been using for so long in the S Class. At least they should have opted for the hyperscreen from the GLC EV. Even with the facelift, the Mercedes S Class currently looks technologically older than the GLC EV.
