Most probably again a case of "configuration-touchy" automobile. Still, I can't understand how they could have gotten the W222 facelift sooo right, especially the headlights, boxier and better structured, so regal and so much presence. Here with this W223, the original headlights were IMHO a big fail and the facelifted ones not an immediate improvement. Still impatient to check the different configurations available (AMG, chrome, etc) and of course that dashboard. And I'm still convinced that Swedish puppet is destroying the brand's legacy. I feel Zetsche understood better Mercedes'core values.

Personally not a fan of current M-B lighting unit internals. Especially those "star graphics".

I'd rather see configurations that feature precisely tiered wirebars, and geometrically squared pixels. More technical, less gimmickry. Hood, trunk/hatchlid, rimhub and steering wheel centerpiece stars are sufficient brand badge ornamentation.

I wonder if you’ll have the choice of perhaps a warm white ? This bluish light doesn’t feel very luxurious to me. But it could be a generational thing?

Warm white light is the same as dry water. Yellow and orange are warm. But yeah it's a generational thing. BMW has abandoned orange for white too because of.....reasons.

That's closer to the Star Trek Star Fleet logo though. Hardly recognizable as the Benz logo at all.

Still, it really bums me out. Elements, among others, that simply do not fit into my perception of what a Mercedes-Benz should really be. I also imagine that, from his vantage point, Bruno Sacco is not at all amused either.
