Big and large isn’t always better, the inner qualities is what really matters to me. I don’t need or want a very large S class to feed my ego. Besides, in Europe it would be very impractical.
It’s a bit like the watches pictured above. The two watches at the bottom are by far my preferred choice.

I somehow have this feeling MB is going to hark back to the W140 with the W224. It's time and the W140 is a perfect template for a new modern version with that batmobile concept grille

Exactly. It’s not about sticking a huge, fake grille on an EQ derivative design. MB needs to look back to its roots and search for what made the company great.

One thing is for certain: it was not the silly lights design of the current cars, or the FUGLY interior design on this W223.

Another cycle like the last one and god knows where MB might end up…

Not the fan of the rear third sideglass "concept" on M-B sedans in general. The less sideglass partitioning, the better IMHO. The theme seen on the W206, W214 and W223 are just fine. And I hope the M-B carries on with it on their future sedans as well.

Not really. I do not recall Audi having a partition in the rear door glass since the C2 100/200.

You won’t find any modern S-Class with the glass house extending beyond the rear door. It screams economy car.

But hey, you never know, it seems even the new C-Class EV is having this now.

Because they mitigate that with their third side window. And indeed the S class having both is just sloppy.

That partition you talk about bothers me extremely on the new GLC EV btw. The iX3 has none, whereas the GLC is littered with lines going criss cross across the glass.

It looks fine but still, not even close. That dash to axle ratio is totally absurd. You would have to shorten the hood in order to make it more realistic and that would end up in a shorter car, which again proves the point that the world doesn’t really need a gigantic S-Class. Those “extra” centimeters will probably come from the overhangs.

The glass runs into the C-pillar on the Maybach without two piece glass in the door. The fact someone making a 'shop can't get it right is mostly irrelevant.

Bentley does it with two piece door glass and nothing in the C-pillar, Rolls-Royce does it with glass in the C-pillar and no extra door glass, BMW does it with two piece door glass, and Audi did it with glass in the C-pillar.

I think the Genesis G90 has both two piece glass and glass in the C-Pillar, as does the EQS, and yeah, they look pretty messy, but having one or the other seems fine to me.

That does look pretty good. Imagine this car in Kalahari Gold with 20inch Maybach chrome monoblock wheels or even a 2 tone paintwork with deep red wine top and white bottom with those same 20inch Maybach chrome monoblock wheels. Superb.
