I have read in quite a few places that the pricing, here, will be something around $100,000 USD, which I think is complete b.s. Even though I'm sure people would pay it. Anyone have any credible info?

I don't know where "here" is but in the US....

I saw an item which indicated the 2007 S will run about 3% higher than the 2006. Based on that figure it should be close to $89K for the base S500. Add a couple of options and $100K is not too far from reality.

Thats about right.. in sweden.. ( we have pretty similar prices to germany) the S350 SWB with no extras starts from 775000kroner or 97660 USD..

If you read further along you'd see that we're from the same country :usa7uh: :D

That's disgusting!!!! Wowwww, that's a big much for a car w/ a V6. This is all very relative though, time will tell, but I'd for sure expect an increase. I'm scared to know what the W212 and W204 might go for when they arrive??????

Euro/U.S. exchange still sucks....

I'm not surprised. One member here is getting an S350 for around $106k. (I can't remember who it is though)

This car is more advanced, has high quality materials and it's supposed to be more reliable than the previous model. That alone should tell us it’s going to cost more than the w220.

the new S-class is expensive. They had a S350 at my dealer and the price was 950.000 swedish kronor. I dont think I wanna know how much the S500 is going to cost :eek2:

No kidding, but even at current exchange rates I for sure wouldkn't think the price would shoot up 20 g's to $100k, interesting none the less.

$100K sounds like alot, but hey, if there's people willing to pay, than so be it.... not for me though.... :eusa_naug

And your talking about 3% more on Base price! :t-crazy2:

I'd pay it if I wanted this big of a car, but I really could never see myself going anything larger than an E - class.

People will pay, but for over $100K for a base S ading about another $25-$30K Min. for loaded, you are reaching out too 55 AMG bracket... And any higher will achieve 65 AMG area (used). Seems too high i'd say.

The W221 Base S500 in the US of A will MSRP at less than $90K (just less)...I'll bet my old leather steering wheel from my current S430 on it.

its just alot i think, but it goes with inflation.... regardless its pricey for a base car...
