1902 40-hp Mercedes Simplex
The oldest "Mercedes" (name) in existence. The 40-hp Simplex replaced the 35-hp which was designed by Wilhelm Maybach. The name "Simplex" was coined because the car was relatively simple to maintain and operate at its time.
4-cylinders, 6785cc, 40-horsepower @ 1100 RPM, 80 km/h top speed

1904 60-hp Mercedes Simplex "Reiselimousine"
The Mercedes Simplex "Reiselimousine" (touring limousine) was the most powerful Mercedes and car in the world in 1904. The blue version shown belonged to Emil Jellinek, a loyal Mercedes customer who's daughter, Mercedes, gave her name to the cars. The red version is a similar car with a different coach build and color scheme.
4-cylinder, 9236cc, 60-horsepower @ 1400 RPM, 80 km/h top speed

1908 Mercedes 75 PS Doppelphaeton
The Mercedes 75 PS was the first 6-cylinder car from the DMG. Built from 1907 to 1911, the 75 PS was offered in different body styles and wheelbases. The version show is a convertible touring car.
6-cylinders, 10,180cc, 75-horsepower @ 1300 RPM, 95 km/h top speed

1909 20/35 PS Benz Landaulet
A comfortable small touring car. The Landaulet name hints at a "convertible 4-door".
4-cylinders, 4850cc, 35-horsepower @ 1400 RPM, 75 km/h top speed

Well the guy who designed the 40-hp Simplex is long dead while the CLS design team is still kicking. :D
