Mercedes-Benz is looking for a new, catchy marketing slogan.

This is a good excercise. On the other hand, someone from Mercedes-Benz Marketing could come in here and get the idea and you won't get a dime for it.

So I'll go with.."Benz you gotta pay for it".

i seen one that they had that i liked:"THE COMPLETE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE".mercedes-benz.
here's one that i came up with:" ADAM OF THE AUTOMOBILE".:Dmercedes benz.

They went with "The Best Or Nothing" right? IMO it's the only good slogan I saw pitched here. :D

The Star Ahead. Which would be Der Stern Voraus in German, according to Google translate.

I cleaned the thread and it is now open again. I hope that this was the last time that grown-ups behaved like 10 years old...

:t-cheers:

funny enough, in my Economics class yesterday our prof was giving us a lecture about how companies use their slogans to differentiate them from rival brands. So he asked

Does anyone know what BMW's is? Quite a few people responded "The ultimate driving machine".
What about lexus, he asked? " Even more people responded with "The pursuit of perfection "
and Mercedes Benz? Funny enough, everyone one went silent scratching their heads including me. I couldnt think of anything. One guy eventually responded with"Straight up baller". Got me wondering, has MB come up with any new slogan?

"Straight Up Baller", lol. M-B speaks for themselves, whilst the others need to come up with cheesy lines (especially BMW's new ones, terrible! Fortunately for them, "The Ultimate Driving Machine" is as good and timeless as it gets). :D

M-B uses "The Best Or Nothing" now, which is perfect, especially considering it wasn't created by some suit at a powerpoint meeting, instead by the creator of the car himself.

Why on earth they moved away from "Engineered Like No Other Car in the World" I'll never know. When they used that, their cars were untouchable. They need to go back to that as the lineup constantly improves in quality/reliability + the upcoming innovations.

Damn, I forgot about that one! That is akin to BMW's U.D.M mantra.

The Best Or Nothing is cool, but "Engineered Like No Other Car In The World" IS Mercedes Benz. They can now reclaim that tag without looking foolish.

Maybe they skipped it because there was too much of a "loophole" to poke fun at, were the products to falter (like they did for awhile)? I.e, people can joke about it meaning that it's Engineered below every other car in the world. :D I guess "The Best Or Nothing" is laid out right before you, harder to twist.

Maybe you missed the ":D", or maybe your sarcasm meter is broken. ;)

In a sense, it is kind of true though. M-B don't need to rely on Marketing speak as much as less storied/perceived brands, where people like that Student in a Classroom will shout out "F'ing Baller" when M-B comes up (in absence of knowing what their real Marketing Term of the minute is).
