Hello All,
So we finally got our first full size Hatch in India, and thats the Mercedes A-Class, for now we just have two models, A180 & A180 CDI. I am attaching the press release and the official brochure below, but can someone answer this question,
A180 CDI we have has a 2143 CC but still produces only 109 Bhp, so is this an India Spec only engine? Because I believe no where else does the 180 CDI motor have that rating? I have confirmed with Mercedes Officials that it's a 2143CC block and not the 1.6 block that some markets use. I assume this is done to have economies of scale as they have to make engines here for lower duties and the 220CDI engine in different tune is sold in the E / C etc.
