E-Class W211 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W211 Picture Thread

The Mercedes-Benz W211 is the third generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class made from 2001 to 2009 in sedan/saloon and station wagon/estate configurations – replacing the W210 E-Class models and superseded by the Mercedes-Benz W212 in 2009.
That 5.4ltr version produced effortless power, its performance was even quicker than the W210 E55, yet it was wrapped up in such an elegant and refined package.

My one friend in Saudi had a 2005 E350 and I was highly impressed with the smooth refined drive of his car, the V6 engine hardly would make any noise, it was so quiet. The ride comfort and the seats were very comfortable and the interior build quality was very solid.
Ours is a 2005 E 350 as well, we don't realise how good these cars are until these cars are long out of production. Even our 2019 E 450 with air suspension cannot match the ride comfort and the seat comfort of the W211. The W214 comes close but the suspension movements doesn't feel as natural as the traditional suspension and smaller wheels of the older cars.

BTW If you like soft suspensions and don’t mind driving a SUV get your Hands on a X254 with airmatic or a GLE with E-ABC, those cars ride as smooth, as classic Mercedes Benz saloons.

My A238 is actually not that bad even with the 20“ wheels, you feel manhole covers but normal road imperfections are filtered out.

They need to put E-ABC on everything. Make it a cost extra on the C-class, but it should be standard on the E and S.
The difference between the E and S should be the interior. But ride wise, it shouldn't be far off.
The E-ABC setup was a game changer for Mercedes when they launched it on the GLE and GLS and they should have capitalized on adding it to other models. The way the suspension can tilt each wheel and hop etc. was now copied by Porsche and some Chinese cars. You right they need to make it standard on the top end models like the S-class and top E-class models. All E-class models by now should have Airmatic as standard and the C-class have Airmatic and E-ABC optional for all models. The ride comfort of the latest C, E and S are top class but they need to elevate them higher by making the high end suspensions as standard.

Are they going to update it to the more advanced version that Porsche now uses? That is the question. I do agree that every E should have airmatic. At least on any 6-cylinder version.
