I usually don't find over-modded Benzes appealing either, especially with the way some people implement black grill's, etc.

But I've seen some W212's in diamond shine black in real life, smoked out, and they just look incredibly crisp and mean, so I think I have a weak spot toward some.

I wouldn't do anything like that to my W212 though, but I dig looking at some that are done up in that way tastefully.

Grrrr, these pics didn't come out well, but I got some of my car sitting next to an F10 with Sport Package.

These two cars are really at the top of their games, I mean, seeing them together is a work of art on its own. My car is really not an easy one to upstage especially to my eyes, but the F10 tried its hardest, and earned its place in the frame.

OT: Just saw a white E-Class from the rear today, jaw dropped. Then I saw a black one from the side, and with the gleam of the day, it sat fantastically on the road.

I'm renting the car behind mine.... and I LOVE it! I used to be a huge Mustang fanatic, so I guess it's giving me some nostalgia. It's actually a very competent, and well rounded car. Ford took a very crude car, and refined it to the point where at 2012, it's a good car in more ways than one.

I'm thinking of getting one as a second car (V6 model, which is what this one is)....

A buddy of mine has a white W212, but it's an elegance model (without LEDs in the front). Also, he installed a black grille and black rims. And I actually think it looks bad, lol. Something about it is just.. off. But your car is very well balanced without that kind of aftermarket stuff. Once again, gorgeous car!

Yeah, the black grille/black wheels thing is just not good looking most of the time, IMO. It "de-classes" the car too much. SOMETIMES when it's set up perfectly I think it can look cool, but the modder has to really go all out and nail that theme.

Yeah if I keep it for the longer haul I might paint over them or something. The black doesn't bother me there anymore, maybe 'cause I'm so used to it. I think after CF wrapping the B-Pillar posts it doesn't blend in as harmoniously as it did before however (when the posts were gloss black like the roof and the marker wraps.

K-A this car is so much like mine but yours is more sporty looking...Mate i can say one thing keep this car...You will never get tired off the E class in white i have mine almost two years and i tell you it still looks NEW NEW NEW like i bought it just recently...

Yeah I think I probably will. IMO it looks just as fresh if not more than the day I bought my 2010 (first W212) the first year it came out. Buying after a Lease is usually not a great idea, but realistically, I either have to buy this car and something else, and to me anything else that can even compare to it will be much more expensive!

Beautiful, thanks very much my friend, that's a helluva compliment. Especially because I always felt a real "soulful" presence from it, kind of like a "buddy".

And I definitely treat her the part.

I can say that the cars I pick to be fit for my OCD ways of caretaking and passion, are very lucky, hehe.
