Mercedes' red is really good looking on their 2-door models. A red SL is a stunner.

I hate how they went cheap on the headlights and now if you don't order the bi-xenon you get reflectors. Very disappointing to see that. Cheap and doesn't look nice.

Here are a few I took at my local dealership...

I do think the removal of the projectors for the MMC does make the car look very down-market. But you've gotta save cost somewhere, right?

I was dissappointed with the standard wheels, too. I would definitely check the 7-spoke option if I were buying this car.

The build quality, however, is something to write home about. The 2008-11 C300 had interior panels that belonged in a plastic toy car. Whereas the 2012 MMC seems to have upped the quality quite a bit. The dash is soft-touch. The seats have beautiful contrast-stitching, and even the faux-aluminum bits look and feel real. Here are a few pictures of the interior (with a few close ups):

I think you're refering to finish Dexter. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the build quality previously, but the finish did come under scrutiny.
