I posted this on Fchat to the same video.


Just watched the video. It’s about what I’d expect. Some thoughts:

1. it looked chilly there, 50’s for sure. No way a RWD drive can get adequate traction in that environment on essentially a dusty road

2. why didn’t they run on their prepped surface for a few?

3. surprised that the Mclaren seems to gain on the SF90 during gear changes, I figured the E motors of the SF90 would fill in the gaps more.

4. I think at PBIR the 765 wins by a car length in the 1/4. On the street, the SF90 is just going to win. Electric power and AWD just does it. However, even on that surface I figured the SF90 would rip off better than 2.8 seconds to 60. Basically it shows how bad the conditions were considering a couple weeks prior in Puerto Rico Brooks did 2.2 seconds to 60 in an SF90 on the street.

Also the surface is very bumpy, which also hinders the traction of the both cars.

The sf90 either has not 1000real horse power oder the weight ist close to 1900kg real live.
Even from a dig, a bet a 992 Turbo S is to about 100mph as fast as this sf90 in the video..

and i agree with the others, the 765LT puls much harder once rolling and once traction is on.
I will make some highspeed run on the german Autobahn with my 765LT vs a SF90 stradale in the near future, i bet the 765Lt will pull till the limiter
kicks in over the SF90

I'm not sure the SF90 is short on power. The 765LT is more like a 865LT and it's quarter of a ton lighter on paper, that gives the LT the PWR advantage.

You probably got confused, laptimes on the right side are for the slower field. Laptimes on the left side are the correct one's.

True but straight line speed has never been that helpful on Laguna Seca, see 918 vs P1.

Info, on 765LT lap and a Senna lap.

VDC was not used. ESC dynamic.

The lap times posted above are generally motortrend and randy pobst in controlled conditions (he's the only one on track and does several laps or sessions to get the time that he does).

We are out there regularly and have faster times in an HPDE environment (decibel limits, traffic, maybe only one or two clean laps and not always on brand new tires). We just don't let people know about it.
