Why? Just for the sake of magazine track tests and PR? Why offer a tyre that isn't a true road tyre for a road car and have people nearly kill themselves in the wet? People have the option of selecting whatever tyre they want after purchase and tyres are a wear and tear item that inevitably need replacing regularly anyway.
Precisely for magazine tests and PR. Use Cup 2 Rs to set lap times and the use standard tyre for all other tests. That's what the competition does. I haven't checked if Ferrari does it, but I know Porsche uses the standard Cup 2 tyres for road tests and Cup 2 Rs for track tests.
