I've always wondered about y'all at the forums...

What do you use? A Mac or a Windows computer

Go ahead discuss...

my vote goes for windows..sadly..as its what im using right now..

but i cant wait for the new Mac OS..
so that i can get out of this crap..and into the mac world:D

I use Windows because I've been using it since day 1. I like Macs, its interface and all, but I just can't get to terms with living without all of my Windows-compatible programmes. Plus, with Mac I'd have to buy special editions of software which may take longer to come into the market.

That said, if I'm studying overseas and leave the burden of a desktop PC at home, I might just consider a Mac. But not without testing Vista first...

I use Windows. Always have ..:usa7uh:

I can't really comment on the newest Mac models, but the last time I used a Mac (2003) I found it very difficult to operate the system. Based on my experience, I also prefer the operation system of Windows. (styles, backgrounds, Internet)

I'd like to try a newer Mac
:t-cheers:

Despite all its shortcomings and annoyances, I prefer Windows. If I were to go for something else, it would probably be Linux, since I've never liked the look and feel of the Mac environment.

LMAO!

I switched from Windows to Mac over the summer. Went from a Dell laptop to a new MacBook, and I haven't looked back since. I absolutely love my Mac, and I don't regret changing at all. I love my Mac :)

EDIT: Well, let the flaming of the single Mac user begin, I guess.

Personally, 4 of my close friends and relatives have "switched" over the past couple of years and are all very happy with their choice.

I use Windows. A couple of months ago I thought about jumping on the apple wagon but didn't becasue the Macs out there doesn't have the specs do meet my needs.
These days I have quite a few people around me using macs and one thing is have with macs is that you can't right click, and thatäs really annoying. More over Macs have proven themselves to be as flaw less as I anticipated them to be. I'm a power user and during my first 5 minutes with a intel mac I managed to crash it.

I did the same and i have not looked back once. I had a toshiba laptop and boy that thing broke so often that i couldnt stand it any more. My high school it is a requirement to have a laptop and every1 besides me use the toshiba tablets, and if any of you are thinking about that let me just warn you. Those things break so easily, i mean i see my friends bringin their computers to the technology person so reguraly. That is probably the main reason i switched and im loving it now

Mac.
I don't think it's a big deal one way or the other but-
the cliche that Mac is for people who are visual and PC for folks who are literal has some truth...like most cliches do.
I've got a Mac G5...
It is a smoother operation once you get the hang of it...in a more elegant presentation. No doubt there.
The big stumbling block for me was unlearning PC while getting settled in with Mac.

It's a drag and click world.

i used to use an ibook and a xp desktop, but now i use an imac and xp desktop. waiting for more cores from intel till i upgrade to vista.
