I`ve seen slalom courses with far better experience than these guys pulled off. I didn`t think thay were that good running through the cones.

lol, for the record they better than the average, in fact the majority of them are racing drivers. They handle cars far better than you and me. thats for sure ;)

All of the guys really really liked the M5. They said for a big saloon weighing 1800kg, it is the absolute best. A few things I noticed them saying:

"The M5 weighs 1800kg, but unlike the other two cars (Jag and Merc) it can control its weight very well."

"It (the CLS) is scary (in the slalom)."

"The M5 feels great in the slalom."

"The M5 understeers, but understeers in exactly the right way."

"The brakes are very nice, well balanced."

"(in M mode) Once you hit 6000 the car really takes off."

I thought the stopping distance was incredible given that the M5 only has 2-pot front calipers and 1-pot rear calipers. The tester complained that the CLS didn't have that great of an ABS system and it caused the rear to not have good grip under braking because too much is proportioned to the 8-pot front brakes. They did say that the CLS is VERY powerful, though.

Tsuchiya said that the ECS is not very obtrusive and gives the driver a good sense of interaction between the driver and machine. Tsuchiya also mentioned that it was a fairly easy-going drifter. The M3 is more snappy, but the weight of the M5 combined with the suspension settings let it step the rear end out progressively and easily.
