Vs Lords of the Ring: Enzo vs CCX vs MC12 vs Zonda F vs Carrera GT

There is a really interesting comparison in this month's evo:

I wonder which the lap times are?

Anyway, whatever the laptimes show, my favourite will always be that work of art called Pagani Zonda F.

I really love the Carrera GT. Best engine sound in a production car ever.

Tough call, as much as I like the Enzo, the Pagini or the CCX will set the fastest lap time. The Pagini has the most forgiving handling and the most composed ride, while the CCX has massive power, it will be interesting to see how things turn out. I wish they threw the GTR into the mix as well.

The MC12 is most exclusive comes only in 1 color combination.
No place for the numberplate +++ this and more adds up
imo to make this car my choice.. Design whise so extreme and raw/brutal.

To me the MC12 is a toned down Enzo. It might look more extreme but I am not convinced it has a better mechanical package than the Enzo.

Zonda F is definitely the best looking. But lack of airbags mean it will never be road legal here in states. CCX is probably the fastest in a straight line but I doubt the ford based engine is as involving as the rest. MC12 is probably the fastest around a track, but it is a Enzo rip off. So it is between the Enzo and CGT for me.

But throw in a McLaren F1 and I'd pick it over any of these and even a Veyron.

So is the MC12, with a Maserati symbol slapped on. In addition to the Enzo driveline and chassis even the body was developed in the Ferrari wind tunnel AFAIK.

Well, I would say it's the other way around. Enzo is not just like any Ferrari. It's their Halo-model, the successor of the great F40 and F50. The importance of this model to Ferrari can be noticed in its naming policy.They named it after the founder of the company, so the official name is actually "Enzo Ferrari" but many mistakenly call it "Ferrari Enzo".

The MC12 on the other hand was designed to be a car for Maserati to compete in GT racing. It's basically a modified Enzo, even the interior is clearly Enzo-derived. You can compare the MC12 to the Bentley Speed 8, the Le Mans race car that was based heavily on the Audi R8 (Le Mans race car, not the production model).

Personally I would choose the Carrera GT. It's an engineering masterpiece with an appearance that defines perfection.
