The U.S dealer bulletin said 6 speed manual will be available September 2006 (so MY07).

When the 6 speed hits, the M5 will truly be the best sedan ever.

It is, but with a 6-speed that will last until the next M5, like the E39.

No, the new S-class is. ;)

Lol Hardly. S-class is luxury sedan and M5 a performance sedan, those two isnt competing together. Two different cars.
Stop spamming this thread with false information ;)

Never, the M5 is a performance sedan and S-class a luxury sedan. They are built for difference purposes. It would be one thing if you said E55 and not S-class. So stop confusing our members with nonsens ;)

I have never said anything about the S-class being the best performance sedan in the world. I just said that it is the best sedan ever just like you wrote that the M5 is.

God night gents. :)

I did one mistake and that was not to add "performance" sedan. But I should have figured it out that MB fans should reacted, casue they are very sensitive ;) But it doesnt matter, to me M5 is still No1. Doenst matter what you or president Bush say :D

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
