Best little Sedan????

Hmmm, C-Class or A4? A4 or C-Class? That's a difficult decision. The Benz is totally new, with great looks, inside and outside (the Avantgarde in white is just stunning:icondrool). The A4 is a really durable and safe car. However, it looks a little bit outdated compared to the Merc. So, my vote goes to the C-Class.

:t-cheers:

3 series ofcourse.

The rest might battle it for second, but it was always the 3er on top.

Why would some put MB, Lexus and/or Audi ahead of BMW's 3er is beyond me.

So can you explain why you chose the 3 series? I picked the MB because it offers a better comfort/handling balance, and i prefer its interior design over the BMW.

I choose the 3er because of it's: handling, comfort, looks, engines (petrol and diesel) and the fact it's the GOD of this segment for years long and it takes more than a design for others to beat it. They still didn't...Therefore.

And i don't want anyone to ask me if i think 3er has a better comfort than C! I drove the 3er, but not the C, like all of us here (except wimmer). And what 3er offers as far as comfort is concerned, for me it's more than enough; i'm not 60yo that i need boat-like suspension and that every single hole on the road bothers me.

Concerning I6 engines i don't think i need to talk much. They're in their own league. Petrol or diesel, single Turbo or TT, doesn't matter, that's BMW at their best!

Handling? When you say BMW you don't need to talk about handling, it goes without saying.;)

Design is subjecitve, so i won't bother to talk about it.

There, that's why i choose the 3er over any other in this poll.

I'm loving the G35.

one vote for Lincoln MKZ, I think Choleric need to explain why he voted for a Lincoln :D

He already stated his reason. It was the first reply posted.

The Lincoln is a great car and looks pretty good. My only issue is the interior. It's good to keep a open mind unlike so many people will probably do in this thread. There are other good car outside of the German trio.

Clean cut design just like the audi a4.

Sorry, ugly in and aut (that's my opinion). :t-banghea
I voted for 3 series. Is definitely the best looking "little sedan".

Because they prefer them, just as you prefer the 3er over the others ;)

Anyways,

I suspect most expect me to choose the IS350, being a big Lexus fan in all. However, I find the design of the IS to be rather fussy and even a little messy. Although I do prefer it's interior over any of the other vehicles here.

My personal choice? Despite the fact that's it aging - the 3.2 Quattro A4. Still looks great - outside and inside!

1. C class
2. 3 series
3. A4

Same here buddy, in that order! I would pick the C in a heartbeat over the competition without question. Love the design with the AMG kit!

The C can also be had with pre-safe technology (from the S and E-Class)
something the competition might not offer.

I test drove one of these and actually found it quite nice, I like the interior as well. A very stylish car.

That is actually a bit crazy but as for the Lexus it really is a competitive car. I have driven both the IS250 and IS250 sport and I liked them, the IS Sport was actually great. The design of the car isn't that bad either, IMO it looks very sport and classy. Sure the interior isn't as will designed as the Germans but it is fully acceptable. Lexus have improved big time.

too bad the engine in IS250 is a sleeping pill. Sweden needs the IS350 version ASAP

Well, as much as I like the new C-Class and the Lexus, I have to pick the Audi A4.

The picture in this thread doesn't make the A4 any justice.
Cause with normal package and rims, it looks very boring. But, stick some 17-19" wheels on it, and with the S-line package, and you have my favourite car in the Little Sedan segment!
On my street there is a gray A4 with the S-Line package and 19" RS6 rims. Man, I drool every time I pass it. It just is so well designed, even though it's based on a 2001 year model.

The car something like that, but in grey:

So my top3:

1. A4
2. C-Class
3. IS

Oh, tough choise. I have been away for more than two weeks and i have deeply thought of my "new cars" issue, and i have to say that i only need 20.000 to 30.000 eur. Off course dad refused to give me the funds so the problem continues...

98% i will be engaged till August, so i will officially be the co-owner of my girlfriends 206 so the city-car won't be a problem. My biggest problem these days is that i want to get rid of the S60 and definitely the next car is on the above list.

PS. You should add Volvo S60 and Saab 9-3 HoH. It's not fair...

Anyway, my choise would be the E90 3series, probably the 320i, since i can't afford to get any higher.
With my up to date standards, my first criteria is the interior/exterior design. Then comes the equipment and driving dynamics, but i don't know which one comes first. Anyway, i choose to go BMW because:
1. It has a great design. I mean i am in love, us much i am with the E39 and no doctor has find a cure up to this point! The interior design is also nice and very elegant. I don't have any problem with ergonomics in any car. I just want the interior to be perfect since this is where you spend your time driving. The plastics have to be soft feeling and BEIGE and then i want wood and leather. The perfect combination.
2. Equipment. I am sure that any car of this list gets 10 out of 10 in this part, so not much of a criteria.
3. Driving Dynamics. I am pretty sure that the american candidated don't much the germans so they are ruled out first hand. Then between the A4, the C and the 3er i choose the sportiest (and better looking IMO) of all which is the 3er. I am bored of the cruise driving of my Volvo and i need something more sporty. I drove a new 525i during Easter and i see that in a BMW you can both drive fast/sporty and yet do much cruising without getting any tired and bored at all!

I test drove one of these and actually found it quite nice, I like the interior as well. A very stylish car.

Yes, it is a good attempt by Lincoln. I haven't had a chance to test drive it, but I know Lincolns have comfortable rides.

I still like the concept a little better.

I never understood how metal could be ugly? Can you please explain what makes it "ugly"?

I voted for 3 series. Is definitely the best looking "little sedan".

Good choice, but what makes it the best looking? If it had a lincoln or Cadillac sign in the front, would you still feel the same way about the design of the 3 series?
