Continental Lincoln Continental Concept

Looks good, but I would change a few things. Interior is rather disappointing, but I'm glad to see Lincoln doing something.

Lots of borrowing from other brands, but I think it's in the right direction as it looks substantial and not a tarted-up Ford. I love the blue paint inside and out...very presidential. Here's hoping they are using a RWD-based platform otherwise it's DOA.

HoH, I was curious to see what you had to say. If I recall correctly, you're rather fond of Lincolns.

Oh, I cannot envisage VAG taking offense regarding the arguably generous "borrowing" of Audi and Bentley design queues. Lincoln does not constitute a genuine threat. Perhaps the gentlemen in Wolfsburg and Ingolstadt will feel flattered.

Look at those back seats!

Love the back, love the exhaust pipes. Hate the fwd proportions. The front is too short. Don't like the fact there won't be the v8...
Why the FWD for God's Sake. This is so stupid. ANd the big cars must have the big engines.

Bentley (VAG) went for the jugular. Have called out the Lincoln as a copy of the Flying Spur. Star Destroyers approaching the New York System as we speak.

I always wondered when situations like these occur, if it actually upsets the designers of the design that was copied, or if it was all fair game.

Bentley designers went personal on Lincoln design director David Woodhouse.
Butthurt lol
Lincoln had the continental since 1939, where as Bentley copied their name in 1952. Besides I did not notice the exterior styling similarities between the Lincoln's Concept and the Bentley Flying Spur. The back of the Lincoln reminds me of the prologue concept, but that's not a big deal. All cars look the same these days anyway. So Lincoln should not listen to these morons. Bentley is pissed off because it's the design it could have done. Keep on working Lincoln, but make it thr rwd, please)

In my opinion they (Flying Spur and Continental Concept) both look like shit.

The differences, however, are that one has a posh badge, the other one has a washed-up celebrity badge.

I've read two different accounts: either it's Fusion based or it's Mustang based

Looks like it'll be FWD.

Quote from Car and Driver - "The Lincoln Continental concept previews the upcoming MKS replacement, which will be based on an extended version of the Ford Fusion’s front-drive platform. A slightly larger, rear-wheel-drive sedan with a fast roofline, which was to be based on the Ford Mustang, has been axed."

If that's the case, Ford has not learned anything.
