BMW Says Thank You to Another Fan

You might not know who Todor Todorov is but you might’ve met with his work and his passion in the past. That, we can guarantee, especially if you’re a BMW X5 owner or fan.

That’s because Todor is the founder of the biggest BMW X5 fanpage on Facebook that recently hit 2 million likes. Surprising, right? How could such a page get to such a high number when the BMW M page, for example, has only 1.1 million? Passion, hard work and dedication can get you a long way.

In order to say thank you, BMW travelled to Bulgaria and met with Todor in person, to talk about his story. That’s how we found out that he founded the page in 2008 out of pure passion, after owning an X5 for 8 years.

Over time, his dedication pushed him to the highest peaks and into the attention of the German company. They even used his photo on various billboards around Bulgaria and even Germany, to show their appreciation over time.

Of course, he took the time to thank everyone out there that helped him on his way and we’d like you to show him your support in the comments section below, especially if you knew about his page before BMW took an interest in it.

We have started to go back to the kind of cutting edge kind of marketing we once had. We are going back to innovation-led marketing which we done in the early 2000's like this 7er advert filmed in Cape Town but then layered and combined with effects work even though the car is completely dry.
But we did drain the pool afterwards for the effect to work with the car.

Yes please, it was a tragedy seeing you switch from one of the coolest ads provider in 90s/very early 2000s to simply putting a set of very boring generic and cheesy stuff.

When BMW falls to Audi-scum levels of advertising I am sad.

These 2 ads are really a waste of advertising money, they so boring and unimaginative. So could have added some exciting twist to why you don't have to wait lol!

^ with the "Too sensitive" and "too immature" commercials I think BMW's marketing department is being brutally honest. :D
