Land Rover has announced plans to launch their new Heritage division at the Techno Classica Show in Essen, Germany.

Like the recently launched Jaguar Heritage division, the Land Rover Heritage division will offer original parts for a variety of models that have been out of production for more than a decade. The company also announced plans to supply replacement parts for the Defender for the next 15 years before switching owners over to Land Rover Heritage Parts.

Land Rover will also launch Land Rover Heritage Drives this summer. The program will allow participants to drive a variety of classic models at a special 200-acre testing facility in Warwickshire.

According to JLR Special Operations Managing Director John Edwards, "We are delighted to launch Land Rover Heritage, which perfectly complements the recent introduction of Jaguar Heritage. It is estimated that 70% of all Land Rovers manufactured since 1948 are still in existence so there is a large and very passionate owner base to support through Land Rover Heritage."

Land Rover Heritage Driving Experience

Land Rover has launched their new Heritage Driving Experience at the company's customer test facility in Fen End, West Midlands.

The entry-level experience costs £40 and will give visitors a passenger-seat ride with an expert Land Rover Experience instructor.

For £85, visitors can drive a Series I, II or III and then compare it to a modern-day Defender.

For £90, you can partake in an on / off-road driving experience in a classic Range Rover, a Series Land Rover or a 101 Forward Control that was designed for the British Army.

There's also a Range Rover Then & Now package that costs £125 and will allow drivers to compare a classic Range Rover to the 2015 model.

Last but not least, the £250 Collection package promises to give you the full Land Rover experience as it will enable participants to drive a number of models including "Series Land Rovers, special military vehicles, collectible expedition-prepared vehicles and the modern line-up from Defender to Range Rover."
