Lancia Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is the “Concept” of the Year for Quattroruote


Lancia is an Italian car manufacturer and a subsidiary of FCA Italy S.p.A., a Stellantis division. The present legal entity of Lancia was formed in January 2007 when its corporate parent reorganized its businesses, but its history is traced back to Lancia & C., founded in 1906 in Torino by Vincenzo Lancia (1881-1937) and Claudio Fogolin. It became part of Fiat in 1969.

  • After the awards received in Spain and France, Lancia Concept car has now earned appreciation from the Italian public, who recognize its value in terms of future vision of the brand.
  • Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is the brand manifesto for the next 10 years in terms of design, comfort, sustainability, technology and electrification. It embodies the design language of the future models of the brand, starting with the New Ypsilon, which will be unveiled on February 14th in Milan.
  • Lancia restarts from Italy, with a new and dedicated sales network of 160 dealers with 100 already fully renovated and with the remaining 60 to be finalized in time for the launch of the New Lancia Ypsilon.

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE, the brand manifesto for the next 10 years, has won the award in the “Concept” category of the annual Quattroruote survey on the major novelties of the automotive industry. Also this year, in fact, the magazine has reintroduced the historic “Novità dell’Anno” award, now in its 25th edition, for which readers and enthusiasts are asked to vote in three main categories: Concept, Dream, and Lifestyle.
Lancia Pu+Ra HPE triumphed in the Concept category, with more than 38% of the votes, beating competitors to testify the appreciation of the Italian public to the future vision of the brand.

Italy has always played a crucial role for Lancia, and from here, the brand wants to restart with the New Ypsilon, which will be presented on February 14th in Milan, and with a new and dedicated sales network. The number of dealers were reduced from 230 to 160, 100 of which were already renovated, with the remaining to be finalized in time for the launch of the New Ypsilon.
The Lancia dealerships feature the new Corporate Identity, reflecting the four pillars underpinning the brand strategic plan: quality, electrification, sustainability, and an innovative sales model. These dedicated new spaces will be increasingly exclusive and premium, ready to welcome customers and offer them an experience made up of beauty, design, and Italian spirit.

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is the brand’s manifesto for the next 10 years, a 100% electric concept car that embodies the brand’s vision in terms of design, interior home feeling, sustainability, electrification and effortless technology. It is a drivable car with an unconventional sleek body for maximum efficiency, with a vision in terms of range, charging time & efficiency. It is the first car of the new Lancia era, a low roof, 4 doors, inspired by the world of Italian interior design, thanks to the collaboration with Cassina, leader in the upscale furniture industry, for a typically Italian home feeling experience. The name Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is based on Pu+Ra, the brand's new pure and radical design language, whereas HPE stands for High-Performance Electric. This concept car fully embodies the principles of the new Lancia design, where the volumes of the car are created from the intersection of elementary geometric shapes, such as the circle and triangle, combined with certain iconic details of the brand's heritage, such as the Venetian blinds seen in the Lancia Beta HPE. Lancia Pu+Ra HPE features 70% tactile surfaces made with eco-friendly materials that epitomize the Italian spirit, redesigned tradition and the “home feeling”. Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is the first car equipped with S.A.L.A. infotainment, which centralizes the audio, climate control and lighting functions, enabling the environment inside the car to be adapted at the touch of a button or by the sound of the voice.
