Well then we just disagree. They may have replicated the "details" but the overall presentation isn't even close nor are the sensous body curves of the original. Its kinda like the current 2004+ Jaguar XJ compared to the previous one. Sure the details are the same, but the sensuality is missing. I can't stand it!

I agree with you Merc1.
Something really important is missing on this replica.
So I say leave the Miurna be.

I personally never felt anything about the old Miura. I can't say that i like it or that i hate it , i never even cared to pay enough attention to the design of the car.
The new one is different but for the better IMO. I prefer it over the original. :usa7uh:

I think this design doesn't fit in to the new lambo line up
and I think they should stick to one project at the time,
because I would like to see the lambo SUV on the road!! :usa7uh:
I think lamborghini (at itself) isn't big enough to succesfully
complete two (or more) projects at the same time.

According to RP Online, the Miura won't be going into production.
The Audi's spokesman said there're no plans for the Miura.
This news was spread at the presentation of the new Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
The reason for not taking the Miura into production is the success and high load of production with the Lamborghini Gallardo and the Lamborghini Murcielago.

It's missing that certain something. Surely. Sure, looks mighty similar, but it doesn't capture my imagination like the original Miura. The current one looks....cold, it looks too, well, German. The original Miura, my God! That was an absolute masterpiece, it has that extra-something, it has, as some people may say, the 'X-Factor'.

This, on the other hand, does not. Bitterly disappointed.

Lambo ponders Miura

Lamborghini is pondering the thought to build its striking Miura concept car, which was unveiled at the recent Detroit Motor Show.

Originally the Italian carmaker indicated that the Miura concept won't reach production but the show car created such a positive response forcing Lamborghini to take another look at possible production.

It is expected that Lamborghini could make an official announcement about the Miura's future at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

According to insiders it is likely that the Miura will be built as a low-volume production car. The striking concept car shares its styling with the classic 1960s Miura.

Rumour has it that Lamborghini is also to enter the lucrative luxury SUV market to take on the popular Porsche Cayenne. Such a Lambo SUV will share its underpinnings with the new Audi Q7. (Lamborghini is owned by Audi.)

Re: Lamborghini Miura on track for production?

Nothing better than a telenovela on a controversial plan, in order to stimulate interest and to help the leadership to decide if it is worth the pain to produce the new Lamborghini Miura ("sacrilegio!", "clone of the old one!", "maestria reincarnativa of De' Silva").

To setttimana beginning the answer was not, hour touches to Express Car to open a new small opening of hope... as we know, situated English is not infallible R-with regard to the advances, but in this case the indiscretions would derive from a chat with the leadership, that it spaced from the Miura to the SUV.

To how much it seems, Lamborghini has been so overflowed from demands R-with regard to the Miura Concept that hour would be taking in consideration one production in limited series.

Interesting the declarations of Winkelmann (TO Lamborghini) to English: "there is more need than a SUV [ n.d.r.?!?!?] and the parent company Audios produces the Q7, therefore for me this is one option better than one 2+2. It would appeal to to make to me more, but we are one small company and we cannot immediately construct all the models that we want."

In the photo up, the advance of Autobild on the possible Lambo-SUV, the LM 00x.

Aparently Miura was presented to some Audi insiders during the Annual Press Conference:

What lucky guys we are! The fantastic Lamborghini Miura concept was displayed in Audi's main hall during the Annual Press Conference yesterday and we had a chance to get our hands on it.
It already looked great on pictures, but in reality it looks even better!
Please enjoy our pics, maybe you can imagine how blessed we felt being so close to this beauty, closer than most of the people will ever be.
We are still praying that Lamborghini is going to build it.
