Lamborghini Estoque Concept

Luw seriously i can't see any resemblance between the Estouqe and Panamera interior, the Lambo's interior is unmistakably Lamborghini and to my eyes it is different from Panamera's.

I do see some basic resemblance. The issue with me is the fact that the Prosche interior F__king blows donkey balls when compared to the Esoteque. The esoteque is Lambo true and true, while the Porsche actually looks more of a rip-off of the AUDI design language. :t-cheers:

^ I have got to agree with Luw on the interior thing. The Estoque indeed looks like a reskinned Panamera from the inside.
Porsche cancelling this car does suck though. They might as well cancel the Audi R8 too, then. That car taks away sales from the 911. And the Q7 from the Cayenne. And the TT RS from the Cayman S.

Thank you! Sure both cars are true to their respective brands identities but the interiors follow the same principle. Very similar to how the Bentley Continental GT interior carries resemblance from the the Pheaton's cabin. So this is really nothing new, it's VAG family love.:D

are u guys sure? i think the Estoque was shaped before Porsche took over of things at VW,so i guess Audi is the one behind that one?:t-hands:

Four door coupes are a new phenomenon and the Estoque concept cannot be much more than 12-24 months old. It and the Panamera share an interior concept that resembles no other car on the market. And it's not a coincidence that the Lambo appears just a few months before Porsche unveils the Panamera interior.

Remember that Porsche aren't the ones pulling absolutely all the strings. There are seniors from Audi and VW on the board of VAG that have a major influence too. The Estoque might have not been produced, in favour of putting all effort into a Bugatti sedan instead or an additional VAG coupe based on the up and coming continental GT. Plus the new A8, A7 sportback and Arnage are just behind the curtains too. Simply too many four door cars in the pipeline.

Maybe but still a Lambo 4-door is too special IMO sice it's just unprecedented by the Italian marque but Bentley or even Bugatti made those cars before. And i don't think a Lambo 4-door is gonna affect the Bugatti sedan in anyway, the Bugatti is definitely be more efficient and extreme just like the Veyron to a LP-640 totally different cars.

Anyway it makes me sad seeing the stunning car get the axed, and i'm sure Porsche is behind this and certainly in the future we'll see more and more Porsche favored decisions like this one.

Lamborghini denies Estoque death rumors

PRESS RELEASE

LAMBORGHINI ESTOQUE

Sant'Agata Bolognese, 23rd March 2009

In reference to recent press coverage commenting on cancellation of its Estoque project, Lamborghini has not taken any decision to produce its Estoque concept car, the four door performance saloon concept shown at Paris motor show in 2008.

As stated when the car was shown, Lamborghini believes that if a third model line should ever be added to its product line up, a four door luxury performance saloon could be a logical product strategy. No decision has been made to produce the Estoque.

:eusa_clap

It might depend on the Panamera sucess relatively to its competitors... If it fails, then the Estoque will see daylights, if the Panamera is a success then not 'cause it would threaten it...

strange, I would say the opposite. If it fails, no estoque, if it succeeds, estoque since the panamera looks like ass and the estoque would destroy it.

I think Porscha wants to push the Panamera (despite its weird look, of which I am a fan, and its obscene price-with-options-that-even-a-Nano-has-standard, of which i am less enthusiastic).

So, if the Panam manages to sell well despite the strong competition it's facing, the Estoque will be axed: no need to give the Panamera in-house competition...

However, if the Panamera doesn't sell too well, Porsche will not let the cake to Aston, Maser, Mercedes and co. So they will release the Estoque, to "second" the struggling Panamera (maybe they could give it standard wipers and radio, too).

It won't be seen as in-house competition if the Panamera is not competitive...

So for me, the only chance to see the Estoque, is if the Panamera fails.

Or they are planning to debut the Estoque a few years after the Panamera, no matter how good the sales numbers are, like the Q7 and Cayenne, so that they can attract different type of customers (more strong design language for the Estoque) and strenghten the total sales. I think it's very safe to say that the Estoque and Panamera will have many similarities technologically wise!

This car is amazing :icondrool
Its general shape and design are just sublime, and then you get to the details... just marvelous. I can't stop looking at those pictures.

I belive Lamborghini is going to produce it. I just hope they don't ruin it by smoothing edges on the way to production (Like AM did)...

Goodbye Panamera, farwell Rapide... A new legend is about to be born (/porn :D)

I think it`s awesome!
I was behind it from the beginning.. The Porsche doesn`t look no where near as good as this.

The rear looks like a 1970s Dodge Charger though. That could have been more orignal.
