Aventador [2011-2022] Lambo Aventador LP720-4

The Lamborghini Aventador is a mid-engine, two passenger sports car manufactured from 2011 until 2022. Named after a prominent Spanish fighting bull that fought in Zaragoza, Aragón, in 1993, the Aventador succeeded the Murciélago and was manufactured in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.

More powerful and aerodynamically optimized, the Aventador LP720-4 helps celebrate Lamborghini's 50th anniversary.

As we count down the days to the start of the Shanghai Auto Show, images and details of a new special Aventador have emerged from Germany’s Auto Bild magazine. CelebratingLamborghini’s 50th anniversary, the Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversary edition features a number of special upgrades. Principal among them is a retuned version of the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V12 engine that now produces 720 metric horsepower. That’s 20 more than the standard Aventador, but 30 less from the version in the Veneno.

The engine still drives to all four wheels through Lamborghini’s ISR transmission, resulting in a reported 2.9-second 0-62 time and a 217 mph top speed. The 50th Anniversary edition also features a special livery of bright yellow paint with carbon black lower aero elements that have been optimized for the LP720-4 for a 50% increase in aerodynamic efficiency. The interior is similarly trimmed in two-tone yellow and black semi-aniline leather, and anniversary-edition emblems abound inside and out.

Its over done. No thanks. Standard car is better and roadster is best.

How does Lamb pass pedestrian safety regulations with such bodywork? Clearly your ankles and/or legs are gone if that front ends hit you at speed.

I suppose the car will be loud enough and bright enough so people can hear it from a mile away, and get out of its path when it comes near anyone. I find this 50th anniversary edition rather anti climatic because this is a half way car between the standard LP700 and the SV edition which will be released much later on, why don't Lamborghini go the whole way and give us the SV version?

Underwhelming. I for one, was expecting something far more special to mark 50 years of the raging bull.
Lambo is already doing more for its 50th anniversary model than the 40th anniversary model, so this is at least a small improvement.

In terms of tech, it's still pretty good, IMO, what with its CF monocoque, new V12, ISR (as misguided as it may have been), etc. But when it comes to design... being an extrovert, which the standard Aventador is, is one thing, but being over-done is another. This is Mansory territory. Tacky.
