FF for me;)

I have to add that the Aventador's dash/cabin (although clearly from the Audi parts bin) is beautifully executed! Stunning cockpit for a supercar:t-cheers:

Too close for me to call. The Lambo is more instantly appealing in the traditional supercar sense, and I like the Reventon-like styling cues. But the unconventional nature that is the FF extends to its styling and I'm finding that appealing too, but in a less obvious way. I can appreciate the style of its utility (same way I like the look of a G-Wagen or Range Rover), but there's also elegance in its long hood, cab rearward design. I usually don't like Ferrari's dashboards too much, but here I find the Lambo a little too conventional.

Only single zone climate control in the Lambo, I do not like that. If you pay 250,000 for a car you want your passanger to be comfortable.

You could have quad-zone climate control but I guarantee that - LP700-4 driven like it was intended - your passenger is going to be very, very uncomfortable no matter what. :D

FYI - This thread is not about the FF and Aventador being direct competitors, which they are not.

Key word is "DESIGN". All you all have to do is vote for which Italian car has the better design and thats all.

Erm, ok fine your HoHness. ;)

Then you've given us a difficult topic to debate. Obviously petrolheads are conditioned to jizz their jockeys at the sight of a mid-engined supercar. And it doesn't get more super - looks-wise - than the Aventador. I mean really, it's a stunning looking piece of kit. That said, it is also rather evolutionary - all the more so when Reventon is taken into account - and as such doesn't necessarily have Lamborghini pushing any limits when it comes to its own design language. Yes, without question, the Aventador is actually a careful design for its maker's ilk.

The FF is hence a far bolder and riskier exercise for Ferrari; it's a 4 seater Shooting Brake concept that brings something completely new to the top-tier Grand Tourer class. It's a massive car, impossibly long to the uninitiated and featuring a design that will surely polarise opinion straight down the middle.

So, you still make the vote very difficult for me, for, whilst I'd certainly prefer to look at the Lambo, it's the Ferrari that I will applaude for bravery.

Looking at the poll result, I suddenly realized why Lamborghinis are named after fighting bulls - like bull fighting, it is for the plebs - crass entertainment to distract them from seeking the really finer things in life. :D

I voted Aventador any nobody would vote any different. I mean these cars are completly different. It would need to have been Ferrari FF vs. Lamborghini Estoque, and even so I would chose the Lambo. The Aventador rival isn't out yet!

Uh-oh. Two very different cars.....I think I am going for the FF, simply because it's unlike any Ferrari I've ever seen. The Aventador (damn, I love that name!) is very nice but typical Lambo design.

Why didn't you add the Pagani Huayra as well?? Or is that too obvious? Or were you going for AWD cars?

:t-cheers: :t-cheers:

Ferrari Four, Lamborghini Aventador reportedly sold out for 2011

They're both Italian. They both have V12 engines with around six and a half liters of displacement and upwards of 600 horsepower driving all four wheels. They'll also both cost their affluent buyers over a third of a million dollars to get their hands on (before speculation and everything else is factored in).

That is, of course, only if they can actually get their hands on one. Because according to reports, both the Ferrari Four and the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 have already been sold out for the next year's worth of production.

We say "already" because both cars – flagships for arch-rival marques – were only just unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show days before reportedly selling out. Eight hundred of the former are slated to be produced through the end of 2011, and 700 of the latter. Which means that either their buyers have been plonking down over three hundred thousand Benjamins sight unseen, or more likely, both companies have been giving select clientele previews.

Plebs [by definition] can't afford Lambo's...

I chose the FF.

Those new pics in grey really do the car justice. Elegant yet bold, subtle yet sporty. Really love it now, despite the Z3 Coupe vibe that is sure to disappear IRL.

It has a delicate styling, that arch over the rear wheel, the floating rear lights, even the front lights. The proportions are quite stunning too.

The Lambo, well... Looks brutish, no question. But, I'm almost unable to differentiate it from the Diablo.:D

Murcielago, Aventador, which is the new which is the old? Sure the Aventador is more sculpted, especially the flanks are razor-like, but... it's really that same old Lambo-style, vulgar and tacky, lacking subtelty.

I'm not really thrilled by it, having an impression of deja-vu. And it's far from the timeless elegance and brillanceness of a 911, relying heavily on over-detailling to impress.

Spectacular, but beautiful? I'm not sure. You love it 'cause it's alien-like and a lambo. The archetype of supercar, but not pushing any design boundaries.

I could never imagine myself driving an Aventador. An FF? You bet I would!

Good post

To me, thay both look pretty goofy on the outside!

Lamborghini gets credit points for a much improved interior design.
Compare the Aventador`s interior to any other Lambo and you will see what I`m talking about.

Nothing fresh about the FF interior design.

Just came home from Geneva..haha there is no contest...the Ferrari is a joke..inside out..
and the lambo is just spectacular..
