The Koenigsegg Agera is a mid-engine sports car produced by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. It is a successor to the CCX/CCXR. The name comes from the Swedish verb 'agera' which means "to act" or in imperative form "(You) act".

Koenigsegg to announce a new model next year
Koenigsegg announced plans to return to the United States earlier this year and new details are starting to emerge about the company's plans in America.
According to Car & Driver, there will be at least four North American dealerships and they will sell the Agera and an all-new model that will be announced sometime next year.
Little is known about the latter model but the magazine is reporting it and the Agera will be fully compliant with U.S. and Canadian safety regulations. This means we can expect them to be fitted with smart airbags and other mandated safety equipment.
Unfortunately, the cars won't be cheap as the Agera will reportedly sticker for $1,650,000.

Koenigsegg has quietly announced plans to introduce the Agera RS at the Geneva Motor Show.
The company is keeping details under wraps but the model will presumably be a high-performance version of the Agera R. This could mean the mysterious Agera R 'development car' that crashed on the Nürburgring last year was actually a prototype for the Agera RS.
Regardless of what the prototype was, the Agera RS will likely be more powerful than the Agera R which features a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine that develops 1115 PS (1099 hp / 820 kW) and 1200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in 7.5 seconds and on to a top speed in excess of 390 km/h (245 mph).

Geneva Motor Show has started welcoming its first guests and they seem to have caught the Koenigsegg Agera RS unattended on the Swedish brand’s stand.
As we can see from the pictures -likely sourced from Twitter- the Agera RS has an updated aero-kit, that resembles a lot to its big brother, the One:1. Finished in clear carbon with orange details, the striking Koenigsegg will try to keep some of the attention tomorrow on it, next to its brother, the upcoming hybrid behemoth called Regera that also debuts tomorrow.
The latest addition to the Agera’s lineup is going to replace apparently the Agera R with Koenigsegg releasing another teaser on its Facebook page.
“With focus on track attitude, the RS utilizes advanced technology from the One:1 program while maintaining all the features and functionalities of previous S and R models, and beholds the Agera’s everyday usability.”

The 10 months taken to sell all 25 examples makes the Agera RS the fastest selling model in the company’s history.

Koenigsegg is preparing to say goodbye to the Agera by announcing plans for series of "Final" editions. The first model was presented at the Geneva Motor Show and it is called the “One of 1.”
The special edition was created with "unprecedented input" from the owner who wanted an Agera that was as close to a One:1 as possible. However, the mysterious buyer wanted to keep the model's luggage space and roof intact.
In order to achieve this, the Agera One of 1 has been equipped with a number of custom components including carbon fiber canards, a roof-mounted air intake, and a unique front splitter. The model also has a unique rear wing and a special rear venturi with adjustable winglets. Other custom touches include a mesh rear fascia and a 3D-printed titanium exhaust outlet with “One of 1” badging. Last but not least, the car has a custom paint job, bespoke switchgear, and Aircore carbon fiber wheels.
Power is provided by a biturbo 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 1,360 horsepower and 1,011 pound-feet of torque.
The Agera Final series will be limited to three units and they will mark the end of the Agera model line. All three models have already been spoken for and the last one is slated to be delivered by the end of 2017.
