I'd imagine a large majority of the car's sales will be Korean government contracts and Samsung executives' perks.
Galaxy Tab 10.1 to come bundled with the upcoming Kia K9

If you preorder the upcoming Kia K9 in Korea, crosstown manufacturer Samsung will throw in a tablet for free.
And not just any Galaxy Tab 10.1, but one that integrates into the car as well, doubling as a SatNav unit and an entertainment center.![]()
How exactly the special Galaxy Tab will function when docked in the car is still a mystery, as well as what sort of special automotive extras Samsung will have integrated into the OS. Kia and Samsung have, however, done this sort of thing before, with the 2011 Forte line-up and the 7 inch Galaxy Tab.
Back then, the Galaxy Tabs came preloaded with a proprietary Vehicle Management Application, which allowed drivers to see car diagnostics, examine the owners manual and get tips on how to drive economically, among others.
The Kia K9 is set to be released in June of this year in South Korea, so it looks like this offer is only for the South Korean market, for now.![]()
Its funny that you mention that:
No Giannis, I haven't. I was just so hugely disappointed with the Optima. (since the car is pretty good looking on the outside).A bit off topic, but since you mentioned modern Kias Tumbo, have you experienced the new Kia Cee'd?
Here you go:To be honest, I haven't seen the Optima, because it's not imported here.
Here you go:
It sure looks good.
But the engine.. ooh my the engine. It felt like it took forever to get to 100km/h. Like 12 seconds. And then the balance of the car, was zero. The interior quality, the buttons... Oh my. Maybe it was a little bit harsh, cause Im used to Audis interior quality and ride balance, but I just was expecting more from this car.
But I do also remember getting from a 2011 A4 Avant to a 2011 Volvo V50 and I couldnt believe my eyes how cheap the Volvo interior felt. I guess its what you compare with.
Anyways, I do hope for their sake, that the K9 is more like the Cee'd that you describe.
Of course not. But I didnt expect the quality and handling to be THAT bad...Well you cant expect kia to have better interior than audi surely?
Go ahead and testdrive one, and you'll get my point.^^
Is the car really that bad? Disappointing to hear. It's so much more inspiring than the Passat but if it drives and feels worse then I'm unimpressed.
