JOY IS... Feedback

Thanks for the answer. At least that puts the price in perspective. Because I know that you keep on saying that you're targeting the younger crowd, but you have to remember that majority of the younger crowd aren't "Trust fund babies". Like me! Ha ha ha.

A price of a 135i + €10k would be great, as long as there are not that many options available, everything essential should be standard.

Please just make the CS Concept production viable and throw it into production, I promise to by one in sophisto grey with a fancy Individual interior, maybe red leather with piano black trim.

Scott...concerning the 1er and future 3er there has been some speculation regarding the engine lineup (from AutoBild) that would include a 1.3turbo gasoline engine and a 1.6T engine.

Is it true?

What would the engine lineup would be like for 3er and 1er?

thanks!

That is remarkable. It's the first time that Scott actually answers directly our questions, and it's not just marketing...

Big thumb up!

Is the F30 really being pushed up because of the recent slow sales and growing competition? Will the F30 be a mini 5 series, as it looks to be on the mules?

Adam i think youre right there.

Also the new 5 serie is bigger again. They push each new model higher upmarket. So there is more room for the 1 series.

Eventually we need a 0 serie to begin with and the 7 series is then as big as a MAN truck.

Will there be a 1 Series sedan this generation, to make up for the ever increasing size of the 3 Series sedan?

Really no need for a strict sedan with the 5-door in the range.

I know Dr, just curious to see if BMW are considering offering a smaller sedan again, as the 3 Series was 2 generation ago. It would essentially be a sedan for two people, so I might have already answered my question. Then again, they did just release the X5 M, anything could happen. . .

Do you really have to start about it with every single post you write???

I think Doc has a point, considering that the E90 did not grew significantly over the E46 and the fact that the next 3ser will have smaller engines to choose from, no need for a 1ser sedan. Another thing is price, the 1ser are very closely priced to the 3ser in RSA.

E46 is more 1er size I think. E90 to me appears to be much bigger than the E46 :t-hands:

I criticise BMW Creative Marketing so it's only fair to praise them when they get it right. So well done for this thread. It would be nice if this was a regular feature as opposed to just for a short while when they realise they've messed up and so many people voice their displeasure.

scott, can you give us a release date for the next-gen 1er in the u.s. which i presume will be a hatch(unless the u.s will again only get the coupe in 2013)? also can you give us an idea of the engine line-up, specifically what will be the top non-M model(i.e. 135 replacement)? thanks!

^ We're talking about a BMW, so not a chance.

Looking at the pricing strategy on the Z4 sDrive35is, I think it is possible.

That model is about €10k more than the sDrive35 and loads of options are made standard (I speced it the exact way I wanted and add more than €5k worth of options).

Could something like that be expected?
