Look what I spotted today! :eek2:

Do you guys know how ULTRA-RARE these 300 Cabrio's are!? Only 51 300c convertibles were made. This is one of them! :eek2:

I also met the owner, hence I know it's a 300c. This guy is a true MB nut. He's got 20 other classics in his garage and they're all from Mercedes. He was out on a warm and windy Sunday afternoon with his wife and two kids in this car. They just stopped at a local cafe to have some cake.

Beautiful car!

Awesome classic, TERRIBLE...and I mean terrible....color. I don't care if it's authentic or from that period of time, this color has always been ugly. You had normal colors in that period of time too, you know...

But, because this is a classic car, we are all supposed to love it :D I get it.

Oh, com'on klier! The colour is not the best in the world, but it is still acceptable :D :D

PS. Great sport Wimmer! It's so nice!
:t-cheers:

The Adenauer Mercedes seems to have gained some popularity in recent times, I have always liked this model, especially the coupé version.

BTW Chris, would you not consider this car to be the equivalent of a Maybach at the time .......the 220a Ponton would be closer to an S class.

Colors like this were popular in those days. :usa7uh:

I remember my dad's dream car in the early 1980s was a BROWN-colored BMW 6er. :D

Pretty much.

It has to be mentioned that only the "long-nose" Ponton's could be considered S-Classes whereas the standard Ponton with the "short-nose" would be an E-Class. :usa7uh:

Good Lord - that is one beautiful color of the 300...never seen that color before. It's number one compared to a beautiful seafoam green I saw once.

That's a beautiful car - an absolute classic.
I know those colours were fashionable back then, but these days it looks rather like a Zune!
