Well, he did it in the worst way, imo, and that's nothing but pure You don't expect that kind of jokes from a well respected person.

I guess it was 2 against one in the studio and unfortunately the dark side won . This is a really cruel was to piss BMW fans off and I guess lots of 3er owners have sent angry letters to Top Gear. To be honest I would have been equally as angry and you if he would have given the 997 an award for having the most boring design.

It is james may that likes the new bimmer style.
Top gear is a show that reviews cars with a more humerous aproach, while 5th gear review cars in a more serious way and with more basic oppinons.
I don't take a crap JC says serious, what annoys me is that most people in the world does. The only reason I watch him is because he is one of the funniest men in the world imo. If I want to know how a car is, I watch Tiff!

Hammond is on both sides of the fence... he loves the Z4, but doesn't like the 3er. James May likes the 5er and 6er, but then again, it seems like he never has a say in the show, hahaha. And as for JC, well he hates every BMW.... he said the ugliest car was the BMW lineup, go figure.

The bad thing though, is I can already tell that when they test the new M3, he's going to crap all over it. Oh well, there will be plenty of other journalists that love the car.

I personally get a little a burned out by his complete hatred for BMW. I watched the 130 vs. R32 and he ended it by saying the "R32 is as good as the 130i is bad". Every BMW he drives he hates. I think he should just come out and say "i dont like BMW" and get that out there before he makes more and more biased reviews.

although BMW styling isn't in consensus , and though even I (who LOVES BMWs since I was a child) had to "get used" to the 7 and the 5's design , but I love it now .
However what pissed me off is that the 3 has the most balanced styling BMW gave us recently , and then comes JC and gives it the ugliest car award ?!?!?!?!?!?!? WTF !!!!!!
I mean , it is a WONDERFUL car , and I think it got that "award" just because it was a BMW . If it had a British car badge he wouldn't stop praising it .

I don't take his opinions seriously (not at all , I mean look how he dresses !!!) but it just annoys me someone that hateful and biased influences the public like that .

Why does everyone make such a big deal about this? It's just a one single opinion! Desing and style is something someone can't tell it for you. Besides, you know how bad taste the brits have for pretty much everything.

That's why I couldn't care less for these desing awards they give to cars. If some gave the CLS the ugliest car 2005 award, I wouldn't care. I would still consider it as stunning.

I think his understanding of 'British' cars is totally wrong. He gets hard over Jags and Astons all the time - but Mr Clarkson - they're American. There is no British car industry to speak of - the biggest UK manufacturer is London Taxis International ffs.

Although he is anti-BMW he loved the M5 and the RR Phantom VI.
