Jean Todt has been elected as new president of the FIA.

The Frenchman, who saw off the challenge from former Rally Champion Ari Vatanen, will take over from Max Mosley, who is retiring following a 16-year reign as head of motor sport.

It is hard for most people to turn 100% away from something they were so close to or years, you still have some feelings for it.

I was actually really hoping for Ari, but with Todt winning, it's no surprise. He's gonna continue all Maxxx's cost cutting BS.

Ari seemed to be a fresh breathe of air. He wanted to take the sport to what it was those days : less politicking, more overtaking.

Now, we all just have to sit and watch all the FIA-Ferrari nonsense come along.

I'm afraid thats gonna happen. It's one of the reasons Max hand appointed Todt for this, and how he was complaining about Ari.

However, Todt's a big boy. I'm quite sure he won't run anyone's show. Lets see anyways.
