007 becomes Mondeo Man

After our exclusive feature on Aston Martin providing a new DBS for James Bond in the new 007 film Casino Royale, MotorTorque was surprised to discover that Daniel Craig will also be driving a Ford Mondeo.

It's being reported that a £14 million deal has been struck with Ford, to get their car used in the latest movie.

The Sun quotes an insider as saying: "It's a huge deal, worth far more than the £2million Daniel Craig is getting. "Moviegoers will see Bond using the car for chases and picking up girls."

The Ford Mondeo that will be utilised in chase scenes shot in the Bahamas is a modified model that can reach 140mph.

But fear not Aston fans, 007 will still be driving the new model Aston Martin, due to be revealed to the public in November 2006 when Casino Royale hits

Bond driving a Mondeo? To be honest I don't like this at all but I guess money makes the world go around. Hopefully Ford won't get involved with the next Batman movie, I would hate to see Chris Bale drive a Ford Focus. It all feel so tasteless.

I don't think christian bale is going to drive any ford car in the next batman movie...I mean c'mon he drove a Murc Roadster why would he downgrade...unless he gets the GT roadster...then may be, that car deserves respect but you won't see Batman in a Focus anytime soon..LOL

And by the way..is it just me or does that mondeo's rear look like a cross between C-class and Is250?

Let's all pray, that the idea of Bond driving a Mondeo, is just a silly prank from the movie producers.

How Ford can be so dumb! Jaguar is in trouble. So why not give 007, a Jaguar X-Type at least?
