XF Jaguar XF Thread (pics & info)

The Jaguar XF (X250) is an executive luxury sports saloon car that was manufactured and marketed by the British automobile manufacturer Jaguar Cars. Launched in Autumn 2007 as a replacement for the S-Type, the XF was designated internally as the X250. The X250 was succeeded by the X260 in 2015.
Re: Spy Shots:2008 Jaguar XF-No Camo!

Looking promising, but isn't the rear light design quite similar to Audi one (eg. A6 Avant / Allroad)? Or even a bit to the one of BMW 7er & 3er coupe.

:t-hands:

Jaguar XF Caught Undisguised

The Ford-owned British sports car maker, Jaguar, is preparing a replacement for the current S-Type, to be named Jaguar XF and scheduled for launch this fall.

Code-named X 250, the new XF aims in particular at buyers of the very successful BMW 5-Series. The current S-Type has been on the market since 1998, and although it had found many faithful buyers, the nostalgic styling turned out not to be for everyone. The new XF abandons traditional styling to pursue a more youthful modern design as seen in the C-XF Concept.

The XF engines range from 6 and 8 cylinder engines including the new 3.2 liter petrol 6-cylinder, first used in the Volvo S80. Also the 4.2 liter V8 of the current model is expected to be upgraded to 5.0 liter. Transmission is a six speed automatic controlled through an all-new gear selector interface called JaguarDrive.

These photos are showing a right-hand drive prototype of the new Jag as it was being loaded into a truck for transport. The usual car cover has been rolled up and placed on top of the car, giving us the first clear look at the car without disguise.

Re: Jaguar XF Thread (Spy pics & info)

^^The pics you posted Siko are a let down man. A lot of the sleekness of the concept is gone. The rear is different, the mirrors are gone some of the lines on the side are gone. I was hoping they kept it true to the concept. Guess not. Oh well, will still wait for the official pics.

btw, official car is coming in Frankfurt, right?

Audi light design with taillight & boot shape reminiscent of the E92... that's what I see.

Perhaps... but potentially it looks better than the last gen S-type!

Yes.

Re: Jaguar XF Thread (Spy pics & info)

Press pics should be eminent. I'm excited, as this looks to be one of the cleanest designs we've seen yet, and a more well executed design than the XK at that.

Re: Jaguar XF Thread (Spy pics & info)

^^You are absolutely correct Siko. Whether they kept true to the concept or not, this is definitely better than the previous Jags.

Re: Jaguar XF Thread (Spy pics & info)

It looks similar to the new Lincoln coming next year, even though they aren't related anymore. Still though I'll wait for the official pics and a new Jaguar sedan that doesn't look like a throwback is welcome. Those wheels are pretty good size too. I think we're going to like this car a lot.

A let down? Come on man I think Jaguar did a good job preserving a lot of the futuristic sexiness from the concept, much more than I had anticipated.

Alright, my original statement was an over exaggeration but still considering the dude in-charge said "it will be exactly the same" or something along those lines, it doesn't live up. I didn't say it's not a sexy car, but is it as sexy as the concept? No.

Re: Jaguar XF Thread (Spy pics & info)

Very few cars are, especially sedans. You had to know that low-slung, mirror-less concept wasn't going to carry over to production.

^ohh lord..
im gutted

Re: Jaguar XF Thread (Spy pics & info)

Headlight.

Why why why :t-banghea How can they change the shape of the headlight to something as ugly as this? It looks cheap, boring, old and retarded. Bring back the concept car's headlights, or those on the RD6 concept car.

Re: Jaguar XF Thread (Spy pics & info)

It does look awkward... but let's see the whole front before judging.

You guys just won't cut a non-German car any slack...lol!!!

hahahahaha, i think we just have such high expectation of the car after Jag showed us the concept car. The projector low beam light looks like a pimple on the face of the car.
