A rare Jaguar F-Type Project 7 has been caught on camera in Sant Vicenç de Calders, Spain.
One of the 250 units ever made, the special edition F-Type was designed to pay tribute to the D-Type and can be seen here in the Ultra Blue paint riding on black 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped around in Pirelli P Zero tires. It can be visually distinguished by its carbon fiber body kit which among others includes an adjustable rear wing while the windscreen has been substantially lowered.
It should be mentioned Jaguar did offer a Bimini roof for the F-Type Project 7 and when not in use it can be stored in the trunk. The exclusive roadster weighs 3,495 lbs (1,585 kg) and benefits from an active rear differential while the stopping power is provided by carbon ceramic matrix brakes teamed up with yellow calipers.
Jaguar's engineers have installed the familiar V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine which in this application delivers 575 PS (423 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) sent to the wheels through an 8-speed Quickshift transmission which enables the open-top sportscar to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in a mere 3.8 seconds before reaching an electronically-governed 186 mph (300 km/h).
